Really enjoyable fight.
I thought the ref was a bit eager to wave it off

I thought the ref would let Cartwright continue. There wasn’t a massive protest though

Good advert for boxing on terrestrial tv. Bit perplexed by the stoppage.

Great scrap that, Cartwright fought well, I think he was unlucky to get stopped by the referee. It was a bad knockdown though.

I don't know, McKenna used the Hungarian as a punch bag for 8 rounds and it wasn't stopped. Definitely took more punishment than Cartwright. The bell also rang?

My mate doesn’t watch boxing that often but is very enthusiastic. He just phoned me and joyously ranted about the Pitters fight for 5 minutes. Hennessy/C5 is consistently getting it right on that score.

Fkin twat that he is Jonny didn’t get onto the dilmaghani and Eggington fights even after I’d texted him a heads up, or he’d never miss another C5 card again

Draws are good for business - rematch more intriguing than first fight.

Great fight spoiled by poor refereeing as usual. The same old names doing the regular crap.

Head clash did not cause that cut. Denny was hard done by, you'd expect an immediate rematch.

All in all though another reasonable successful card for Hennessy. That's what good competitive matchmaking does :box:

Terrible stoppage for me, a gift to ensure home fighter won.

Great fight not sure about the stoppage though, think the ref was a bit quick to wave it off, the round had ended and Cartwright didn't look too bad, I had him a round up going into the 8th, the action swung back and forth, Pitters looked good at range when he got the jab off and worked the body but he is vulnerable with that upright style, Cartwright was all over him like a rash and nailed him with some big shots which had a visible effect

Pitters rocked Cartwright with a big left in the 8th and backed him up before dropping him with the right, as I say thought that ref couldve allowed it to go on

Which fight both had debatable stoppages

Second ended up a draw, but Denny was really hard done by and it was an error by Ian John Lewis the head clash didnt cause it.

Cartwright could have been allowed continue in other fight. Standard poor British refereeing.

I can't make up my mind whether it's bias or their genuinely inept and not up to task, Robert Smith seems happy with them all so maybe there following orders

Saw River Wilson-Bent v Denny , great “in the trade fight “
Reminded me of the old Friday Night Fight Nights where the English
And British Titles meant a lot .
