Post by zuru »

15 rds Welterweight
Curry can go 15,I assume De La Hoya can.
I think he is the harder puncher .
Not sure here.I can see both winning.Curry is more steady,De La Hoya more explosive

Know what's interesting.
Ask yourself how you felt about De La Hoya prior/post knockdown of Ike Quartey in the 12th round.
Where were you at that point in relation to De La Hoya's power ?
I bet you flip flopped like I did based off the fight.
One moment De La Hoya is a boxer medium hitter to a boxer higher hitter.
Molded part of his career did this moment.

Curry was really good until the Honeyghan fight. for whatever reason, he never bounced back from that. Up until then, I would give him a slight edge over De La Hoya.

15 rounds, I'd lean toward Curry.

Curry I think was the more naturally gifted fighter. De La Hoya had more grit and determination. I think De La Hoya could edge it down the stretch, but it'd be a close one either way.

Or he might lose the fight and get the decision. Happened both ways to Oscar.

Curry, by close UD, 8-7 type of fight, has to be at his absolute best.
