Featherweights: Willie Pep vs. Eusebio Pedroza

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Featherweight Bout

Pep would outbox Pedroza behind his jabs, counters and combinations while moving around the ring to take a decision or would Pedroza cut him off the ring to fight him dirty and hitting him on the inside to decision him. What do you guys think and who do you got?

I'll put my heart and money on the great Eusebio Pedroza by UD.

I think Pep would win. I know styles make fights.
But just knowing that Barry McGuigan won vs Pedroza makes it hard to imagine Pedroza having Pep's number.

Pedroza was ready to be taken in the Barry McGuigan fight. In Pedroza's prime, Pedroza beats McGuigan 10 out of 10. It was just Pedroza's curtain call that night.

Pep was also a much better boxer than McGuigan. Which is why he'd slap around a prime Pedroza. Plus Willie would retaliate every time Pedroza hit him in the nuts. It would be a War of the Sore Balls by the time it was over

Close, could go either way, but I think Eusebio edges it in 15.
