Agree totally but Boxing is becoming as PC as the rest now.
The Women's Boxing issue will harm Sky even more though the way they're going at it.
It's the same with women's football on SKY, check the attendances to see what the real interest is. I'd say the obsession with womens football on SKY and using them as pundits is worse than boxing at the moment.
If they want to put women's boxing as main events/chief supports than charge a fiver to get in or give tickets out for free like they do for women's football.
If anything will kill boxing it is this treating the sports as equal
Sky have no lost the plot since Comcast/NBC took over. Sky Sports News is literally not watchable. Every time you turn it on its obsessed with racism, women sports, climate change or other bollocks. There's actually not much sport content on there. All the older presenters are gone for cheaper young replacements.
Another thing is they're obsessed with American sports. Who really cares about Basketball or Netball over here? Nonsense.
They'll probably spend more time talking about Caroline Dubois fighting some dinner lady in her debut than Crawford Vs Porter on Saturday.

The football crowd and casual fans don't even know these shows are on, many won't have even heard of DAZN. To some degree that is DAZN's fault not Matchroom.
Also I'll keep saying it when are they going to rollout DAZN in pubs? It should have happened by now.

Yep, really strange not to have been sorted. I hadn't really looked into it but we went out to watch the Fowler/Smith show and it wasn't on anywhere (but the BT Callum Johnson show was!!!) and realised that no pubs have it, but this weekend watched the Amazon Prime rugby in a sports bar?

Yep it's really strange. I don't believe it is legally available in pubs only on individual subscriptions. Even the big sports bars don't have it.
So unless a pub is using a IPTV box there is not much chance of finding it anywhere either legimately and not.
DAZN could give it away cheap to the pubs to undercut SKY and wouldn't be missing much money, most casuals in the pub on a Saturday night just want to see boxing and unless it is a big fight don't care too much who's fighting.
No point DAZN having coverage and nobody knows about it.

Pubs are always the mystery market. How much is good eyes on your product, how much is people that would subscribe to DAZN but can just duck down to the pub whenever there is a fight they like.
I dont know about there but i know here in Aus pubs pay big money for PPV fights. 1000 bucks for small pub to get a a bad PPV..
There was a bit more than 2.5k to 3k there. All the bottom tier was full so I’d say it was around 4K. Although plenty like me probably didn’t pay full price.
I’m also not sure Harper sells quite as many as it’s made out. There was a big group of her fans together between the ring & stage but I doubt that was even a quarter. Certainly not anywhere near half.
The other lad from Donny who was boxing James Flint also brought a decent following & they got behind Harper too.
Barry had more fans in there than I imagined. There was a couple of Barry chants going round.
Stevie Lily only got added to the card a week before & is from near Norwich. I didn’t see her fight as it was at 5.30 but I’d be amazed if she had any kind of following. If she did then fair play.

Levy had about 200 there. Not massive but not bad either.
That’s brilliant with that journey & short notice. She was still around ringside mingling with fans at the end of the night when we were trying (& failing) to get a picture with Sergio Martinez.

Some of the pubs i used to watch the fights refuse to have them, they said its just too expensive especielly Tim Tszu , funny enough though they will
