Galahad will likely be given the chance to win his belt back in a rematch, and said: "Firstly congratulations to Kiko Martinez and his team on his victory last night.

"Thank you to everyone who turned out, tuned in and for the many messages and well-wishes I've received. It means more to me than you'll ever know.

"I am gutted about the loss but I have lost no desire to reach the levels and goals I've set in this crazy game called boxing.

Thank you to my team, Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing. I've been grinding all my life and we aren't done yet... We will run it back and we keep moving forward!"
That quote should be attributed to Matchroom's press office rather than Galahad... that aside, I do hope he gets the rematch.

Nice classy comments from Galahad.

No whining and no excuses; just a desire to get his trinket back.

He probably wins the rematch but Kiko always has that chance to spark him. Especially with that reflex based defence of Galahad.

Come on man, that is straight from the PR desk at Matchroom. No way did he write that, have you heard him talk?

Will admit i've not watched the full fight , but what i have watched , i could'nt help but think does'nt matter how far in front Galahad is ,, the punches he was pushing out , and pushing is the operative word ,, were always going to be treated with disrespect , and soner or later Kiko was going to close him down and start landing .

You cannot demand respect in that ring , you have to earn it , If your not throwing hard hurtful shots you WILL GET WALKED DOWN

It was kinda like a Khan performance.

Look good and dominate and then get dropped ya nice clean shot and fights over.

Reflexes weren’t working so great in round 5 and 6 lol but I agree he wins

Teflon O' Connor would have stopped it if the reverse was happening. Especially after he had to ask him about 5 times to put his gloves up after the second knockdown.

Well done to Kiko. What a surprising and exciting career he’s had. Enjoyed his fights vs Dunne (shock blowout), Hasegawa and Romero. Punch, fitness & persistence can make things happen.

I like how he responded to the controversial defeat to Barrett (another good fight), approaching bigger challenges with perhaps renewed determination.

Seems his team did their homework setting up the wide right hand by stepping over to the right.

Before this fight, I’d have thought he’d match up well with someone like Jazza Dickens. And he goes on to lay out the guy who beat Dickens twice.

kiko seems like the kinda guy who just dont even give a f@ck if he gets robbed or ko'd, he'll come right back guns blazing full of confidence instead of sitting around moping about it or doubting himself

he should be a life coach or something :yay:

I wonder what Dunne was arguing with his corner about? He must have had no idea what was going on.
