Torrez is only 22. And a marketing dream. If he had the gold he would be massive news. But even with silver he has a decent profile - at least I would think so? Can any American bros tell us how much attention he's been getting in the papers and news etc especially in non boxing publications?

At only 22 he can be brought along slowly and will learn a lot. He should improve an awful lot in next three years. Personally I really like him as an individual and a boxer. Let's hope he can go places. The US needs a decent heavyweight..... and let's be clear the fact he's a white Hispanic who is good looking and speaks well will make him very sellable.

i like him, he fights with big balls and went straight at the big evil monster who'd brutally iced him previously. aside from jalo, he's beaten pretty much everyone he'd fought over the last several years, with many stoppages even though ppl question his size and strength

I actually see him going for the Bridgerweight belt in relatively quick fashion. Maybe 10 fights or less. Then on to the heavyweight division.

He was a durable straightforward fighter in the ams. If he will be able to polish his game in the pros and be durable enough for the long distances, he can be successful even against behemoths. Gotta follow him. You can never say for sure, how a successful amateur does in the pros. Relying only on intuition, I expect the guy to be lower top-10 fighter at max.
