Nooo!!!

I was really looking forward to this fight... Dammit. This was the best match for Eubank Jr since the WBSS against Groves.
So who realistically can be a decent last minute opponent?
At this stage I'd be happy with Sam Eggington

They only had the presser yesterday. Williams was coughing a lot… but unsure at the time if nerves.
I’m guessing he wouldn’t have trained after it so what the fornicate has he done today.

3 weeks out he looked a little heavy to me. But that may just be me.

Really disappointing what's happening at moment with so many cancellations and dodgey pull outs.
But this is a disaster for Sky/Boxxer they've cancelled a ridiculous number of their main event fights already.
Lawal Ward twice, Lewis Ritson Vs Lundy after Ritson done all the tickets.
Eubank had 2 opponents pull out didn't he?
Savannah Marshall pulled out of tomorrow
Josh Taylor Vs Catterall was cancelled as well
And now Williams Eubank too? That's an absolute disaster for a new broadcaster promotional arrangement. What's going on?
I do hope it's just a rumour but nobody has came out and denied it?

What a shame this is. What percentage of big fights are being cancelled I don’t know

Worth saying that I think the large amount of cancellations are having an impact on falling ticket sales.
I wouldn't mind going to the Manchester show but probably the best fight has been cancelled. Hard to make any plans.

Why would anyone want to buy a ticket for a show these days ? Every show it seems has featured fights called off

The cards are marginal before the cancellations.

I’m going to the Manchester show only because I have free tickets close to the ring.peter barlow wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 16:28 Worth saying that I think the large amount of cancellations are having an impact on falling ticket sales.

No way do I attend boxing otherwise unless it’s an absolute super fight where if the main card falls apart a refund will be simple.

Re: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Liam Williams | Sky Sports - 11 December 2021 (OFF)
Liam Williams seems to have every world class atribute, sharp fast punches, great power, nice compact form, great punch variety, excellent vicious finisher, defensively sound, technically sound, moves well, whatdo you think his weakness htatkeps him from world class? No heart for a really puzzling right if he can pic his man down, gets a bit gunshy when hit??
He's far more explosive and bitter than Liam Smith for example, but he just seemed to lose the fire
When he couldn't finish him
Victim of own success, used to knocking guys out?

Yeah most cards are now low quality. That card was very good by recent standard but with arguably the best fight gone and so many cancellations now, I won't be going anywhere unless it's a last minute thing.KiwiRider wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 16:46Can't blame you.peter barlow wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 16:28 Worth saying that I think the large amount of cancellations are having an impact on falling ticket sales.

Yeah it's been a while since I got to a show and felt the itch to try get to one. I wanted to go to Taylor Catterall but it was also postponed in suspicious circumstances.Dioufy wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 16:49I’m going to the Manchester show only because I have free tickets close to the ring.peter barlow wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 16:28 Worth saying that I think the large amount of cancellations are having an impact on falling ticket sales.

I wouldn't mind splashing out once in a while for a decent card and a decent seat. I still think the Manchester card is decent as it stands now but who knows what could happen in next few weeks.

He was 25 and Smith was a lot more experienced. I didn't actually expect him to do as well as he did in the first one. The second fight Smith had the measure of him.GreenLightning wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 17:04 Liam Williams seems to have every world class atribute, sharp fast punches, great power, nice compact form, great punch variety, excellent vicious finisher, defensively sound, technically sound, moves well, whatdo you think his weakness htatkeps him from world class? This Eubank fight was perfect for him, guys like Andrade definitely aren't
I like watching him, and hope he gets well soon.

I read a few people saying that the way it's gone at the moment you should wait until Wednesday of fight week to get tickets.
Mind you I got stung before on Fury Ustinov called off the day of the fight :bric
With ticket sales down you wouldn't have as much issue getting tickets.

He will be one guy Eubank won't want to stand in front of,as strong as he is Liam is a petty hard counterpuncher with HURTFUL combinations, he won't just sit there and be teed off onKiwiRider wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 17:20He was 25 and Smith was a lot more experienced. 100%
That's why we all wanted this fight.
It doesn't take much to suck Eubank into a war, no matter what RJJ has tried to drill into him

Re: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Liam Williams | Sky Sports - 11 December 2021 (OFF)
i would say, vs a legit world class opponent in andrade, willams did not show world class speed, was not defensively very sharp, didnt move particularly well etc. the uppercut could hardly miss him and he didnt cut the ring particularly well. he did land a couple shots which buzzed andrade , and i think the pop is there, but not the whole packageGreenLightning wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 17:04 Liam Williams seems to have every world class atribute, sharp fast punches, great power, nice compact form, great punch variety, excellent vicious finisher, defensively sound, technically sound, moves well, whatdo you think his weakness htatkeps him from world class? he is a really nice offensive fighter, and this is especially noticable vs guys he can hit regularly, hence the beastliness at british level, but he seems to have a slight front runnerness to him where he just doesnt put it together and falls apart a bit when the other guy can stand up to him
