She probably does more tickets in the north east than most other fighters do anywhere. I don't think she's even boxing on that show.
Hand injury, Marshall back end of Feb.

Does Liam Williams going for a scan mean he is still hoping there could be a fight.

Surely both Psychologically and physically he cannot be right though for the 11th.

Who knows.

The fact that the fight is 16 days away now isn’t good at all and it was first reported almost a week ago about the supposed injury. I can understand taking a couple of days to get their stuff together on a replacement fight(s) but there’s no way it should be taking this long as they’re still selling tickets for a fight that may not happen and people will be spending money on transport/hotels etc.

Very poor stuff from Sky/Boxxer a repeat of their Ritson debacle. Shameful treatment of paying fans.

Not everyone’s on social media.

I know a couple of people that are going who I spoke to at the weekend who didn’t have a clue there were rumours the fight was off.

Most are, so surely the promoters would come out and say it is still on to sell it out.

I do wonder if there’s some mind games been played. If the tickets are already sold then it isn’t going to have an impact on sales.

I know from seeing him with my own eyes Williams is still in Sheffield. Considering he’s got a newborn baby back home in Wales I don’t think he’d be up here if the fight was off.

It’d be funny if he’s in the shape of his life & Eubank isn’t taking it seriously thinking he’s going to be fighting someone much worse at short notice.

No, there needs to be an announcement. I'd be livid if I had tickets. Like someone said, he's not even from Cardiff. People will arrange coaches, etc, although I suppose they'll be in the know.

Its hard to imagine its mind games by Williams - I know they said they sold a couple thousand the first day .. but its got to be killing tickets sales since.

From what I can tell it looks like they’ve either paused ticket sales or it’s sold out. The only tickets I could see were resale and not many at that.

I’d be amazed if it’s sold out given the rumours but who knows.

Do we even know where the rumoured injury is. The vibe I'm thinking is something like the Whyte vs Wallin stuff (taking that at face value and not the conspiracy theories) and Willians must have some injury but they truly dont know if it will be recovered in time.

Hard to lay the finger on sky, in this day of mass social media.....surely Williams can say if the fight is off or his social media. My feeling a bit like matchroom/Dazn and Whyte who went quiet for days, I think no one knows the extent of the injury quite yet

Matchroom/DAZN were quiet for around 24 hours. This is approaching a week. Sky/Boxxer/Williams need to take some responsibility. Either come out and say the fight’s on or explain the situation - having it in limbo does no one any favours.

Yes, but why Sky perhaps they are in the dark as us? Surely Williams can say if the fight is off. Perhaps he is in limbo also, it was rumoured that he only had a scan about 24 hours ago. Perhaps hes awaiting the results on the scan before coming to a final decision.

He supposedly had the scan on Monday. Not sure why it takes that long to get it sorted considering it was Friday when the issue was found and they should have had the results straight away. It’s not like they’ll be waiting on the NHS to hear back.

The fact Sky have actively stopped promoting the fight means they must know something is going on. Adam Smith is normally interviewed post show by the likes of IFL etc. but there was no sign of that after the Riakporhe show. Ultimately they’re the ones paying for the fight so should demand clarity.

You'd know yourself if you can train/fight .. a scan is to see if you need an operation or physio.

Anybody think William's dislikes Eubank to the point he's trying to sabotage him?

He may be thinking if I can't fight anyway, why not stick it to Eubank Jr in the process? Surely they can't draft in a credible opponent at this point, especially in Cardif.

Boxxer have had a terrible start as it is, mainly due to bad luck but it's terrible form not making any comment at all.

I’d be surprised if that’s the case as not only will it piss off Eubank, it would piss off all involved which may limit his future opportunities with Boxxer/Sky.

I use Fite TV and they’re promoting the Shields fight as available for sale on there. No mention of the Eubank/Williams fight though.

I saw on Twitter that Boxrec had the fight listed, then didn’t and now does again.

The whole world knows something is going on. Buncey cancelled a discussion on the fight in his podcast as "the fight is off". Warren told Eubank to fight Zack Parker instead. However, my gut is that whether this is an injury or some legal wrangling I think camp Williams is assessing to see if it can be resolved by fight time.

Cant imagine Sky are happy that they cannot promote the big show as they would like. I cant imagine Eubank is happy knowing if he will fight or not. Yes we need answers but at the same time if there is hope the fight can survive, you cant blame Williams for keeping a low profile. You dont really want his opponent knowing all the details on what is happening, whether that is injury or legal.

It's a mess, but at the same time I cant blame anyone staying silent if there is hope it can be resolved in time

I’m sure you’re right re: team Williams assessing if they can still take the fight but it gets to a point where you need to make a decision or say thing.

It’s a week today that the rumours came out and still no word. If there’s still so much doubt then its highly unlikely Williams will be in good enough shape come fight night for a 12 round competitive fight unless it’s not an injury.

The fact that Boxxer haven't come out and made an official statement yet just goes to show their another bunch of amateurs in the game, shambles all round
