Isaac Chamberlain back on world title path!

On Friday 10th of December Isaac Chamberlain headlines a stacked card in South London alongside Irish sensations, Stevie & Aaron McKenna who are both in title fights. The fight is live & exclusive on Channel 5. Catch the undercard first on the Hennessy Sports YouTube channel.

Back in front of his local fans, Isaac is looking to put on a knockout performance as he aims to get a world title shot in 2022.

Chamberlain made his long awaited ring return earlier this year, after recovering from a shoulder injury when he overcame Ben Thomas in Coventry.

Next time out the 27-year-old will have the chance to register his 14th win as a professional, whilst picking up the IBF International title in the process.

Elsewhere, Aaron McKenna will be looking to continue his impressive run of form and extend his record to 14-0 with a win in the capital when he challenges for a world youth title.

Earlier this month Aaron’s brother, Stevie, put in a dominant display in the Midlands when he dispatched Richmond Djarbeng by knockout.

He joins his sibling on the card next month, where he has the chance to claim a world youth title.

Good work from Hennessy :TU:

We've had a good few shows on Channel 5.

Just get rid of that useless presenter they keep using and bring in Steado :OhYes:

I'll go against the grain here and say this isn't a bad fight for Channel 5 or Chamberlain. I wouldn't know much about him though tbf

Press Release | Isaac Chamberlain Aims To Impress Against Dilan Prasovic

CRUISERWEIGHT contender Isaac Chamberlain is set to continue on his quest for world titles as he prepares to headline Hennessy Sports’ latest fight night in London.

Chamberlain will join McKenna brothers Stevie and Aaron, Kaisee Benjamin, Tommy Welch, Idris Virgo, Brett McGinty and Michael Hennessy Jr on the show at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre on Friday 10th December, live on Channel 5.

The 27-year-old, who has a record of 13-1, will also have the chance to claim the IBF International title when he descends on the capital.

Standing in his way will be former world title challenger Dilan Prasovic, who boasts a record of 15-1 with 12KOs. His solitary defeat came at the hands of world champion Lawrence Okolie.

Elsewhere, McKenna brothers Stevie and Aaron will both be looking to keep up their recent momentum following impressive displays in Coventry last time out when they challenge for world youth titles.

Further down the card sees charismatic super-middleweight Virgo (11-0-1) return alongside big punching Brighton heavyweight Welch (6-0).

Ireland’s McGinty, who is trained by British boxing legend Ricky Hatton, is looking to advance to 5-0 with a win in South London, in what will be his first fight in the city, while super-welterweight Hennessy Jr (8-1-1) targets his fifth consecutive victory as he continues his fine run of form.

Last time out, Benjamin (14-1-1) registered his fifth knockout win with an emphatic finish against Germany’s Andreas Maier.

Following his victory the 27-year-old announced he will be moving down in weight to super-lightweight, where he’s looking to fight Sam Maxwell for the British Title in the near future.

Added to the show are popular locals heavyweight Naylor Ball and super-flyweight Alfie Clegg.

Reflecting on the card, Promoter Mick Hennessy says he’s looking forward to producing another exciting night of boxing.

“We’ve got one of the most exciting talents in world boxing headlining an exciting card at a great venue in London. Isaac comes up against a world title challenger who’s only loss came to WBO world cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie. This is a superb opportunity for Isaac to put himself into world title contention and put everyone on notice. I believe he already has the star quality to beat the current world champions in the division.”

Press Release | Aaron and Stevie McKenna Motivated To Continue Busy Schedules

MOMENTUM is key according to Ireland’s boxing brothers Aaron and Stevie McKenna as they look to maintain their unbeaten records in London later this month.

Both Aaron and Stevie are set to feature on Hennessy Sports’ latest fight night, which is taking place on Friday 10th December at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre and being broadcast live on Channel Five.

Joining them on the bill will be cruiserweight Isaac Chamberlain, unbeaten heavyweight prospect Tommy Welch as well as a plethora of talent including Mick Hennessy Jr, Idris Virgo and Kaisee Benjamin.

This latest outing continues a busy period for the brothers in what will be their third contest in as many months.

Last time out, Aaron went the distance with Gabor Gorbics in Coventry, while Stevie knocked out his opponent Richmond Djarbeng in the Midlands.

Next week Stevie, who has a record of 10-0 (KOs), will be looking to extend his unbeaten run and pick up the vacant IBF Youth Welterweight title in the process when he comes up against Abdul Aziz Quartey (19-5).

Meanwhile Aaron (13-0, 7KOs) also has the chance to win a belt in the capital, as he contests Carlos Gallego for the WBC World Youth Middleweight title.

Looking ahead to their respective bouts, both Aaron and Stevie highlighted the importance of form and momentum.

“Momentum is very important to me, Hennessy Sports have been doing a fantastic job in keeping me busy and active,” said Aaron.

“It’s important to get as much experience as I can. People can expect to see fireworks from me in my next fight, I’m going to put on an explosive performance for everyone there and everyone watching on Channel Five.”

Stevie, echoed the thoughts of his brother on the importance of momentum and says he’s just looking to improve all the time.

“I’m one of the busiest fighters out there,” he added.

“I just want to keep making noise with every fight and keep growing and growing into a better fighter.

“My last fight only lasted 40 seconds, I was in against a guy with a great record and I think I made a statement with that win.

“I go out to entertain and go for the knockouts so don’t blink if you’re watching.”

Still no idea how good or bad Prasovic is, Okolie wiped the floor with him, in theory it's a decent test for Chamberlain, going on with a guy who's coming off a world title challenge but really Prasovic could be and probably is mince

Steve McKenna’s opponent came in over 160 pounds for their Welterweight fight.

Either he thought he was fighting in Jan or he thought he was fighting the other one.
