If judges think a fighter did enough to win a round but they get knocked down they sometimes will score 10-9 but this is supposed to be rare.
Round-by-Round: Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos Jr. - November 27, 2021
Re: Round-by-Round: Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos Jr. - November 27, 2021
I think Fury beat Wilder much worse than Kambosos beat Lopez. Yeah, Wilder could KO anyone at any time but it just seemed like for a long time in that one you knew how it was probably going to end. Tonight's fight it was still in question to some degree going into the final round.stujones wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 01:16I've not seen this fight, but from the round by round, this was close. Fury vs Wilder was great drama but if you edit out 10 seconds was pretty damn one sided. It was the Wilder factor and knowing he is one punch away
As said, not seen this one but by the looks of their faces the were both in a hell of a fight

wilder basically had one big round in fury 3
it had some huge moments for sure, but kambo - teo had kds too, and more sustained competitivness and was in balance right till the end

He scored the last 10-9 for Lopez too.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 01:19 well, i doubt the dude who scored it 115-112 for kambo was trying to rob him
The 115-111 was the best and honest judge IMO.

Yeah, I can see it if the fighter that was KD clearly dominated the round outside of the KD but that was probably a 50/50 round at best before the KD.godosin wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 01:20If judges think a fighter did enough to win a round but they get knocked down they sometimes will score 10-9 but this is supposed to be rare.

Even in those cases I’ve seen plenty still give it 10-8mcrow24 wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 01:22Yeah, I can see it if the fighter that was KD clearly dominated the round outside of the KD but that was probably a 50/50 round at best before the KD.

sure, which means he had kambo up 4 going into the 12th, which tbh is wider than a lot of us had itRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 01:21He scored the last 10-9 for Lopez too.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 01:19 well, i doubt the dude who scored it 115-112 for kambo was trying to rob him

I actually Agree with it being a 10-9 round in principle. Won 95% of the round and then got dropped, but not badly hurt. But there needs to be consistancy on it, and if you follow consistency thats a 10-8 all day.

Me too, I had it 115-111 so that seemed pretty fair. I think +/- a round would be pretty fair but I see no reasoning that give Teo the win.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 01:21He scored the last 10-9 for Lopez too.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 01:19 well, i doubt the dude who scored it 115-112 for kambo was trying to rob him

I think Teo's dad telling him he's winning every GD round had something to do with this loss and his reaction afterward too.

Oh yeah, Kambosos sparred 100's of rounds with Manny for the Thurman and Ugas fights I forgot about that

Another excellent show on DAZN.
Flop over vs Kambosos =
Ogawa vs Fuzile was an excellent fight too. I hope to see both of them on DAZN again.
Ford is going to be in a lot of entertaining fights too....
Jessica and Algeiri did an excellent job too.
Rosado did a good job on the DAZN show Friday night as well.
DAZN does a very good job selecting commentators.

If there is a rematch, I expect George to come on stronger.
Manny had good things to say about George, and he got a great multi fight signing. So people in the know, knew.
When I went back and watched all his fights I could find, in order, it is clear he is learning the job.
He learned heaps tonight. I think he beats an aging Loma as well.
Big call, I know

I’m not sure that Lomassiah will go in that direction. George ain’t Commey.KiwiRider wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 03:23![]()

Today was easy for them to be reasonable... The only fight people cared about they had no horse in the race.. Eddie didnt even have to come out with his classic post fight interview lie of "im no judge but i actualy had it 7-5 (insert home fighter who clearly lost name), I can see the draw but i dont know how someone had it against him"

I take it there isn’t a rematch clause..
Unless they snuck one in.
Teo signed a new contract with high minimum
Purse with Arum
