John thinks he knows something that would be damaging, rather than literally getting the shovel out.
Is it Epteins black book?
I’m sure it is Epstein’s book although not overly sure why as Barry’s spoken about it before.
He can be like that in the space of 60 seconds. He’ll be talking sense and then just shift to talking complete bollocks. He cuts a good promo - would have been a great pro wrestler.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑29 Nov 2021, 13:30 john fury, he's either a wise old sage or a total embarrassing buffoon depending on who you talk to![]()

Porky, Theo, and those other hoodlums out of London are all talk. Theo believes himself to be a tough guy simply because he hung out in the same room as Lenny McLean. They want people to believe their fairy tales, when the truth is they're as fraudulent as Paddy Monaghan and some others who claimed to be this or that in the bareknuckle world but have zero proof.mickey1975 wrote: ↑29 Nov 2021, 14:19 I've met John, he's a nice bloke. Big powerfully built bloke as well. Not sure I'd want to have a few pints with him or insult his kids. Porky gets on my tits with that. Keeps saying Akinwande stopped him. So what? The guy was a world champion. Theo is no more than a middleweight. John can't do it because of Tyson and Tommy's pr, and BT, but I'm not sure they'll be having a lot to do with him again.

John Fury, without the benefit of a single amateur boxing match to his credit, working full-time and seldom ever training was able to defeat men who had amateur backgrounds and decent pro records--- Porky and all those other frauds don't want to bring up the fact that he defeated the champion of Italy, and had previously defeated Steve Gerber.
By his own admission when he got out of prison he said he was nothing more than a journeyman boxer, but always maintained that in street fights or bare knuckle fights he never lost. I tend to believe it for a couple of reasons:
#1- He took bomb after bomb from the very fast, very accurate and heavy handed Akinwande and still tried to make a fight of it. And the way I understand it he was training in Bartley Gorman's backyard for only a week or two before that match happened. Hardly good prep for a match of that kind of magnitude.
#2- Apples and oranges; in a street fight or bare-knuckle fight there is basically no rules whatsoever so a hard-nosed guy like John Fury is going to be pretty damn difficult to beat when he's allowed to do whatever he wants. So I can see a gorilla of a man like John Fury going undefeated against a bunch of bouncers, bar room brawlers, farmers, and hard cases.
I will say though I would rather have an altercation with John Fury than I would Peter Fury. John I honestly think would give you every opportunity in the world to change your mind, no matter how pissed off he was, while I think if you had Peter pissed off there's no stopping him cus it's your ass. I heard their brother Hughie was the one you really didn't want to upset, so definitely a family you don't want to screw with.
If John and Peter didn't have such successful sons or have such a stake in training other people I think we already would have seen an incident because these are old school minded men who deal with things with their fists or they would have gotten one of their own to knock down somebody's door and beat the crap out of them.
But as far as John Fury is concerned he gave Theo two different chances or opportunities but he talked too damn much, and he balked at the idea of going to the gym to fight John Fury, so it's never going to happen because Theo demonstrated to the whole world that he basically was a chicken.
And in retaliation they've released the videos of John Fury getting knocked out as a pro because they know they themselves have no more credibility to get people interested or backing them anymore.

There’s a vicious rumour that Paul was only hard when he was tangling with younger men.

Not Shades of Ali. John and Peter's brother Hughie, who used to train Tyson. Fairly mysterious character, but Henry was mates with Peter so might have some insider gossip.gregregegg wrote: ↑29 Nov 2021, 18:06Because he is only a pup, Everyone knows that if they get on hughies bad side they will get dealt with when he gets his man stregnth.Cyclops wrote: ↑29 Nov 2021, 18:02Why was Hughie so exceptionally feared?HomicideHenry wrote: ↑29 Nov 2021, 15:08

since when? do you actually believe for a second this idiot is confidant-to-the gypsy-stars? I mean, when he says 'from what I have heard....', do you think (a) 'oooh, I bet he is referencing a very specific conversation he had with Peter Fury himself, once, being in regular contact with him as he must surely be', or (b) he's just tried to vaguely imply he's part of some gypsy rumour mill without giving any specifics (he never gives specifics), I mean seriously, the amount of times this clown has tried to ape the chin-stroking sage of the traveller grapevine, you actually think he is part of it?
