AJ/Ruiz fluke but not Teo/Kambo???

Post by TonyJ »

The double standards are comical sometimes. Many called Ruiz ko over Aj a fluke as soon as it happened yet Aj came in with a good mindset and far less distractions than Teofimo.

NoW after Teofimo came with with many distractions along with obviously not fighting like he’s known to fight with actual skill he came out right off the bat fighting like a dumb caveman. Yet I hear very few folks calling it a fluke. I get many dislike Teo due to his Floyd like behavior but let’s not act like Kambosis acted with pure class dude was pretty loud and obnoxious like Teo leading up to the fight too.

All the stars lined up perfectly that night just like it did for Ruiz but just like AJ with Ruiz if Teo was smart he’ll correct this wrong wait to move up just one more fight and box this guys head off and get that Loss back.

Let's wait until Teo wins the rematch then we can discuss your complaint.

Yes I agree and like I mentioned that would be his best move right now to get his crap together and get that loss back. But folks called AJ Ruiz a fluke as soon as it Happened no one waited for a rematch to say that. Lol

But because Teo is hated so much folks want to act like Kambosis destroyed him and didn’t almost get knocked out himself lol

Fact of the matter is both Teo and Kambo got beat up and one guy edged the other this was no easy win for Kambo. Teos win over Loma was easy, Kambosis win wasn’t but you wouldn’t think that from the way some of these guys are acting.

Double standards at its finest

Different fights. Teo lost 8-4 and was never hurt... thats just a strait loss.

AJ was on the way to dominate ruiz, he hurt ruiz and got hit with 1 shot that scrambled his brain for the rest of the fight. then came back and dominated the rematch...

Simarly noone claims usyk beating AJ was a fluke, because it wasnt that he just clipped him, he just won 9-3...

Nothing wrong with just clipping someone, dosent take away from the win, it just means less in the broarder sense of "how good is this guy" i think.

I stumble in and hit 1 home run first try against a major leauge pitcher, im fornicating cheeeeering, but noone would assume im actualy an excelent baseball player. I hit 20 home runs out of 100 pitches although percentage wise its clearly worse, a lot of people are going to be thinking, holy fuk this guy is good.

@ Tony J ...

That's not how I remember it. Seems to me the world and his dog were telling AJ he would be a fool to go straight into the rematch. Many if not most were saying Ruiz had Joshua's number.

I don't know though if my comment about Teo winning the rematch was realistic in fairness. I hate to take anything away from Kambo's superlative win, but I do think that was the last we'll see of Lopez at 135.

Yes it did show how overrated Loma was now I never said he was a bum but he’s been clearly overrated before and after the Teo loss.

And like the fella above said different fights right? Lope easily outboxed out smarted Loma while Kambo dug deep to win and almost got knocked out himself against a guy who came in with a horrible mindset.

Disagree

Teo was never close to getting stopped but Kambo actually was and most unbiased folks feel Lopez couldn’t finish it because he blew his wad early on trying to fight stupid and just blow Kambo away. Had Teo boxed and actually used his superior skill like he’s done in the past he would have made that fight so easy on himself but with that said he’s got no one to blame but himself and his daddy that I 100% acknowledge.

Again clear signs of a fluke if ever one.

This great fighter Teo, who is he going to beat next? Not Kambosos cause then the weight excuse doesn't work.

Not this Josh cause he simply won't be interested.

Not Tank cause he simply can't.

So if this was such a big fluke.... how is your boy going to show that to the world?

Joshua was winning early on, made a mistake, after what he wasn't able to recover. He acted like an idiot, after he slapped Ruiz first. Lopez acted like an idiot since the start and got schooled.

Very different fights.

Heavyweight can end in one shot. Lightweight can but not so much really. Ruiz is a big boy and he caught AJ with nice combos.

Another big difference. AJ basically quit. Teo kept coming and even dropped Kambo late.
