Huni v Goodall

Post by amwsnw »

I'm really looking forward to this bout and surprised it hasn't created more interest. I feel its 50/50. I'm interested to hear what others think.

can hardly find any pro footage of joe......what happened vs ndzie tsoye? he beats him 40-35 across the board, then 10 months later is held to a draw over 6 rounds

huni easily beat the same guy earlier this year

kinda unfortunate how it's been for joe tbh

imagine being a super heavy, medalist at the worlds and loads of national titles. youd think youd have all sorts of backing, but goody here dont even have 1 pro fight online and now lets be honest is being used as the opponent. hope he puts it all together and gives the super talent huni a good fight

I think this one will be interesting. Huni has heaps of talent but his team seems to lack professionalism. Seems like every Dad thinks there's not much to this training a world champion lark.

After seeming to waste a few years Goodall goes to Vegas, trains full time in Parker's old gym under Kevin Barry. Higher standard of training and sparring and a trainer experienced with heavies at the elite level. Should at least be interesting.

My betting account is maxed up post Kambo but I think I will sit this one out. That's unless the odds are really juicey on Goodall.

Huni has to be a massssive favorite here. If he is fit and his hands hold up he should stop him (if its over 10 rounds). good fight though, and mabey too good for coming of hand surgery. ID rather see him in with someone known to be brital first fight back.

If Huni wins it won't be by ko in my opinion. He took ten rounds to stop Gallon even though he was hitting him at will. Goodall has a good chin and from my memory he took some great shots from Madjidov in the first round and was more than competitive in the last.

Its a "pay-per-view" Mainevent card, but with the number of rounds is undetermined, showing "?" currently.

They better have a quality undercard to prop up the main bout. None of this Gallen/Lussick rubbish of NRL discards.

Think huni wins pretty comfortably. Big fight coming of busted hands. Joseph has made zero splash in the pros, but has a pretty decent amature background. seems like goodal deserves a chance to make a run as prospect in his own right. but i guess he was going nowhere so he will gamble being an opponent.

The reports are correct as Huni has tested positive for COVID-19 while in Los Angeles, with his preparations for his Mainevent February showdown with Goodall up in the air.

The card has now disappeared from the schedule and there is no new date nor any news in the media about the status of the Huni camp and Covid..

Be interesting to know if it was covid in Huni or concerns about covid in the crowd that is derailing the fight.

Huni has been in the wars after he contracted COVID-19 during a training trip to the USA, before getting a second dose on his return to Australia. He is double vaccinated but was still drained by the illness.

It has been posted in the media that he isn’t scheduled to fight again until June against Joe Goodall in Brisbane, a bout postponed after an original date in February.

But there is an offer to appear on the undercard of Jai Opetai’s April shot at the IBF cruiserweight belt against Mairis Briedis.
