If Ken Norton's Prime Was 2003

If Ken Norton had been fighting now in 2003 how would he fair. Norton was an Acomlished professional who fought many of the Greats.

Muhammad Ali: Had 3 fights, won one and IMO won the others as well.
George Foreman: Destroyed In 2 Rounds
Larry Holmes: Fought a great match and pushed Larry to the limit.

Other losses where to Cooney in a round and Shavers.

Now he seemed to have great weaknesses with very hard hitters, but did have a awkward style which i believe would have confused today heavyweights.

However due to his problems with BIG hitters, i doubt he would beat Tyson and Tua, but how do you guys see his chances against the likes of Lewis, Holyfield and Jones and Byrd?

Thoughts Guys?

I can see him beating our current "small" heavyweight champs. Keep his chin the Hell away from Lewis, Sanders, either Klit, or anyone else with a punch for that matter.

But Jones and Byrd, watch out 8)

I don't ever recall saying Ali had punching power. Feel free to scroll back through my 300 some posts, I don't think you'll find one thing that is pro Ali except for something like "man that kid could dance"

Ali fought Norton THREE times---a total of 39 rounds--and never even scored a knockdown against Norton.

I think it's obvious what we are saying.

I should add that although I think Ali was highly skilled, he was also overhyped and got away with quite a few controversial decisions, as well as moves in the ring.

Terep, Ali did not have great punching power, and the Liston Fights were obviously fixed.

In my Opinion Ali has become one of the most overrated fighter ever.
