Haney's kindergarten racism can't even be compared with the stuff of Moo, who had been a devoted fanatic of NOI, just like Haney's piss poor skills can't be compared to Ali's ones. Look how Ali danced against Cleveland Sweet Pea Williams and how Haney danced against Linares in the 10th round. Different levels everywhere. Also, Ali was much more handsome without those f*cking lips. So, my friends, never use these two names in a one sentance again!

I wasn't talking about looks or skills, only the racism remarks, but think you know that.DrDuke wrote: ↑23 Nov 2021, 14:58 Haney's kindergarten racism can't even be compared with the stuff of Moo, who had been a devoted fanatic of NOI, just like Haney's piss poor skills can't be compared to Ali's ones. Curious if people will give Haney credit if he beats Diaz? Great fight. He gets plenty of hate on this forum it seems.

Of course
Even if Diaz is having a bit of an off night, he is a pretty decent opponent, more so now he has moved up IMO. Still view this fight as 55/45 to Haney.
Should be a good watch.

Re: Devin Haney vs. Joseph Diaz | DAZN - December 4, 2021
Yea big credit from me. In my opinion Diaz would be a better win than tank or ryan garcia or shakur have. upset wouldent shock me at all. Diaz has a win over farmer, a slick non puncher. Also arguable beat Rakhimov who is world class. recently beat fotuna whos solid. sure he has a lostt, but garry rus jr is a fornicating handfull and diaz looks like a different man since 126, put on a lot of good weight and still has 12 round conditioning.
Haney is going to have to mix in the odd reckless bomb in my opinion. You need to have the power to keep people honest, if he sticks to pittter patter he is slick, but sometimes people can just overpower slickness. if he just lets one fly once or twice a round sure he might get countered, but it will keep diaz on the look out for it.

ya, dev deserves credit for a win
too bad so many of his fans are such crybaby biatches that instead of being up for the fight they moaned about him being ducked by a guy actually fighting him, reading some of the stuff in this thread is funny

As a dude who hates on Haney I will give him plenty of cred. Jo Jo is a good fighter who is at the right weight and fighting well at the moment. A win over him is a very quality win.
That being said, I predict Jo Jo whoops him!
Re: Devin Haney vs. Joseph Diaz | DAZN - December 4, 2021
Even if he wins, he'll still be a big lip mofo. He will be rated as a good contender though. Anyway, JoJo whoops him indeed!

Source: Welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill gets new foe for Saturday's title defense
Undisputed welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill is still scheduled to fight on the undercard of the Devin Haney-Joseph Diaz fight on Saturday night. It's just her opponent that will change in Las Vegas.
McCaskill will now fight Kandi Wyatt, out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, after her initial opponent, Argentinian Victoria Bustos, had travel issues relating to COVID-19 protocols, a source confirmed to ESPN.
Wyatt (10-3, 3 KO), last fought in August, when she had a unanimous decision loss to Alma Ibarra. She has fought for a title once before, in November, 2020, when she lost a unanimous decision to Kali Reis for the WBA junior welterweight title. Wyatt has lost three of her last five fights and has not won a fight in her career outside of Canada.
This will be Wyatt's third straight fight in the United States.
This will be the first fight for McCaskill, ESPN's No. 4 pound-for-pound boxer, since she defeated Cecilia Braekhus for the second time in March.
Dan Rafael first reported the change in opponent.

who is betting favorite here?
Re: Devin Haney vs. Joseph Diaz | DAZN - December 4, 2021
This fight is going to be less than entertaining imo. Haney is much bigger, much faster and you’d have to guess more powerful than Diaz. I’m a huge underdog guy and always have been but I think that the odds of an upset here is minuscule unfortunately.
Just looking at these two side by side or faced off and it’s a glaring difference at this weight. I think Diaz should have stayed where he was on the scale.

totally agree. Haney will do that thing he does, boxing, cautiously and conservatively and technically sound but boring as fvck, and Jo Jo will earnestly scuffle and huff and puff and try-hard and not land much, and what he does land, won't have much impact.caldo2025 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2021, 10:28 This fight is going to be less than entertaining imo. we'll get to the end and Jo Jo's garbage workrate will convince a couple of fans and maybe even a judge that he won the fight. nobody will want a rematch.
Re: Devin Haney vs. Joseph Diaz | DAZN - December 4, 2021
Both Diaz and Garcia were Haney's mandatory, and both didn't want the fight. Money or easier fight? Until Garcia pulled out, pressure of fighting Haney basically forced the fight, and he is getting more money too. Belt holders shouldn't have to beg their mandatorys to fight. Even after knowing its more money, Jojo still took over a week to sign. Anyway he didn't duck this time. Glad its happening, and credit to whoever wins. We've discussed this before, but trolls need attention too I guess.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑30 Nov 2021, 14:46lol, poor dev! the kid just has it so hard with all the hate he gets! lets cry him a river!

It's crazy to think Ryan Garcia, someone on someone's current all time great list, refused to fight light hitting glass jawed Haney?

JoJo’s been fun to watch and he’s done as well as he’s going to do on a stage this size. The last thing that a lot of fans are gonna want to see is this kid get all battered, bloodied and bruised at the hands of a guy like Haney. A loud mouthed social media guy with a lot of talent but not nearly as much as he posts about.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑01 Dec 2021, 10:33totally agree. I’d love to say JoJo could catch him or test this chin that has been up to questioning lately but JoJo’s power has always come from an accumulation of blows. Blows that will be few and far between in this one. He’s so much slower than Haney. I just don’t see this being anything other than a clear unanimous decision with JoJo lucky to be awarded 1 or 2 rounds at best guys.

Yeah I may be overrating Jo Jo or under rating Haney to say Diaz may scuffle his way to winning on someone’s card. Just thinking his ‘work rate’ may help vs Haneys basic cautiousness plus people scoring for a dude just keeping his hands going whatever the effect actually was

Re: Devin Haney vs. Joseph Diaz | DAZN - December 4, 2021
Diaz can’t win without at least hurting Haney. If he hurts him like linares did it’s a tough ask for Haney, especially if it’s earlier in the fight. Credit to Haney he hung on well when he needed too (although I think a point should of been taken for holding) but Diaz is a little unit, harder to cling onto if you need to I think. Diaz also dosent hit as hard as linares so he is going to have to land a peach of a shot to really shake up Haney.
Re: Devin Haney vs. Joseph Diaz | DAZN - December 4, 2021
I would give Diaz a reasonable chance if he possessed Linares pop. As is, I can’t see it happening, although bigger upsets have happened this year.
