thats it in a nutshellconeye wrote: ↑30 Nov 2021, 18:32It is is'nt it ,, nothing like John Fury to get things going ,,, One thing i do know for sure about John Fury is i would'nt like his blood pressure readings![]()

Also know for someone who claims to be a nice man he certainly seems to throw a lot of threats around , but never seems to carry them out ,, Not that he's not capable after all he's a big fella who has been involved in boxing all his life ,, Seems to me he learnt his lesson after the stretch in prison ,, and has much has he would love to rip a few more heads off , fear of jail stops him ,. .
Overall i think John could be quite good company , if you toe the line with him , , respect him , agree with him , idolize him and look up to him with starry eyes while he sprouts his pearls of wisdom .
Disagree with him , and i think you will quickly see another side ,, unless of course , you were bigger and meaner than him

I wasn't. Henry Akinwande was a decorated amateur who beat Herbie Hide in the aba final. He was far from a novice.589468 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2021, 06:11No .. Akinwande WENT ON to become 'World Champion' (although the frequently discarded WBO 'title' had little credibility in those days') but when he met Fury he was little more than a novice.
'I've met John' = You were in the audience at the recent John Fury 'event' at Hunslet Boys.

They never fought am, obviously, because Big John never had an amateur fight! Henry had around 100 and went to The Olympics. Do your homework.

It is not the famous boxing Furys. Those who suggested it is would be well advised to delete their posts. Thank you.high tower 1 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2021, 04:38That article is like something out of a horror movie.Steveh583 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2021, 03:17its them alright. they did run a criminal empire after all.high tower 1 wrote: ↑30 Nov 2021, 19:05

While we are on the topic, how come Tyson's mother is never mentioned? Not even a picture of her or any details after all these years. All I can find is that she's called Amber from Belfast and doesn't like watching his fights.
And is Tommy Fury's mother (different woman to Tyson's) actually from Mauritius? That's quite unusual in traveller circles, they rarely couple up with non travelers even.

No, two do. I can't say anything, I've got 3 different mothers. It's not unusual.TopGun wrote: ↑01 Dec 2021, 13:04John is a dirty dog, goes on about being God fearing, cannot keep it in his pants, dont all his kids have different mothers? John's alright - he makes no apologies for who he is - but he's definitely at the mercy of his own emotions all day long and he'd be the first to admit it too.
With regards the headlines.....Everyone has dirt.
I'm sure both him and Eddie have plenty - but nobody ever wins.

He most certainly is.
He's been a native american.
Then a professional boxer. Never had a single coaching lesson. Never sparred a round. Obtained a 'licence' by mail order. And got his head caved in by an unbeaten pro in the worst mismatch you would ever see.
Now, he's a traveller who has requested to be known as "Gypsy Bobbins".
However, he's harmless and takes his verbal hammerings well.
In fact, compared to most of those other fantasists in the boxing history forum, he's a sound bloke.

Re: John Fury threatens to ‘Bury’ Hearn
Henry "Gypsy" Robbins
not Bobbins
as my mother's maiden name was Robbins, and of course my middle name is Henry. As for the gypsy part, some of my mother's people did live in vardo's and were primarily Scotch-Irish.
Jem Mace wasn't Romany yet he was known as "The Gypsy" too. Gypsy Daniels, who knocked out Max Schmeling, wasn't Romany either. Take from it what you will. At least I'm not ducking or dodging from it.
The Native American ancestry is largely circumstantial evidence as my 2nd great grandmother and her mother were extraordinarily dark skinned, yet everybody in the family on census records is denoted as being white--- but old books (ie, History of Auglaize County, etc) says straight out that members of my family did trading with the Native Americans and I can only assume that either somebody got impregnated by a Native American, or adopted a Native American, or "bought" a Native American.
Based on DNA evidence, I have determined that indeed the full-blooded individual would have been the father or mother of my 3rd great grandmother (it decreases by half every generation) and the so-called legal parents are all denoted as white and I have traced that lineage all the way back to England in the 1500s, so the only explanation can be the three scenarios I already laid out.
And nope, I was just a street fighter who got a federal ID and I was supposed to compete on Stacy Goodson's shows but so many people backed out whenever he tried to put them on his cards that he told me I needed to prove I was willing to fight before he would gamble on me so I took the hardest available match which was Jleon Love. Unfortunately, Goodson got divorced and his wife cleaned him out and he wasn't able to put on boxing shows again so I wasn't able to compete against tiersmen (losing record opponents) like I wanted.
Serious, about what? That racism still exists pretty strongly and Great Britain towards travelers and gypsies? Of course. Maybe my language was too passionate and too much of a sweeping generalization, but I think you would have to be living a pretty sheltered life to believe that racism doesn't exist in Great Britain towards those groups of people.
About John Fury? Maybe it's because I grew up around hard case types or because I got to know the family a little bit over the years, but I don't see the man as some sort of dangerous individual like some people paint him out to be. There's some things he has said that I don't agree with, and I'm aware that he's the type of man who wears many different hats depending on who he's talking to or who he's around. But all in all I would say he's the kind of man who is of the mindset live and let live.
Of course everybody is going to have their own opinions and views about things. We agree to disagree. I just find it a bit interesting how I basically made a comment about how ridiculous Porky and Mickey Theo are, and it ended up into nonsense. They are a bunch of people trying to ride on the coattails of people who already had reputations long before Tyson Fury ever became a pro boxer. Just my opinion on the matter.
And thank you for the comment, "he's a sound bloke," and that I take, "verbal hammerings well."
Jesus Christ Almighty God bless you all.
