Ok, I figured out why I was going down like foreman hit me. I fractured a toe and was worried about the diabetes but that's OK. Biggest worry is I'm still losing weight. I'm 136, my 8th grade weight! Getting some labs on that. 70 pounds in 3 years of mainly muscle.

Thats the thing, I eat plenty. Just had a double order of burnt ends. I'm going to get protein shakes. Those falls where it I was up 10 seconds I'd be on my ass or face planted had first worry. It was bp medication. My body hates pills, never had any but I will say the one for the nerve damage is great.

Have you consulted with your doc and/or a nutritionist about your severe weight loss?

You may be suffering from Amyloidosis, which is specifically an abnormal buildup of protein in your organs.

Get checked for Lymes!. I went through a lot of that shit, lost weight, soooo many symptoms. It affects everyone differently! BTW, even if you or your doctor suspects Lymes, get on the doxycyline for at least 30 days, because the tests I'm told only have it show up at certain stages, but your doctor would know that. Chronic Lymes can be nasty.

Will do. My doc yesterday said bp meds shouldn't make me collapse, my bp was 113/68. Take a pill with that and you're smashing your nose and mouth on the countertop on the way down. I'll get it licked. Doctor needs to get familiar with me 3 doctors a x 2 nurses warned me about violent diherria from the antibiotics for my fractured toe. Haven't gone since I started them Monday!

Demetrius Andrade vs. Zhanibek Alimkhanuly: Purse Bid Set For January 15

The World Boxing Organization has ordered a purse bid for the mandatory fight between middleweight world champion Demetrius Andrade and unbeaten challenger Zhanibek Alimkhanuly.

On November 30, the WBO's committee issued a letter ordering the respective parties to begin negotiations.

On Monday, the 20-day term expired and no agreement between the parties had been reached.

The purse bid has been set down to take place at 12:00 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time (AST) on Friday, January 15 at the World Boxing Organization (WBO) headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico

The minimum acceptable bid will be $200,000.

Andrade is promoted by Eddie Hearn's Matchroom USA, while Alimkhanuly is promoted by Bob Arum's Top Rank.

Pursuant to the WBO's rules, in fights between the champion and the first available contender held in the country of origin, residence or in fights between the champion and the first available contender held in the country of origin, residence or nationality of the champion, or a neutral venue, the champion shall receive 75% of the total purse, and the challenger shall receive the remaining 25%. And in fights for the title held in the country of origin, residence or nationality of the challenger, the champion shall receive 80% of the total purse and the challenger shall receive the remaining 20%.

Alimkhanuly (11-0, 7 KOs) last fought in November, when he battered and stopped former champion Hassan N'dam in eight rounds.

For his part, Andrade (31-0, 19 KOs) also hit the ring in November and retained his title with a two round demolition of overmatched challenger Jason Quigley.

I agree with that opinion too.

If Andrade takes the Alimkhanuly fight and wins, he'll deserve to receive a lot of kudos and it'll also go a longh way to justify the hype.

However, if Demetrius ducks the fight, then it'll compel me to double-down on my criticism of him. :TU:

Andrade wants to unify, fight the other champions. At his age a win over a guy most haven't heard of does nothing as far as unifications. He'll waste another year staying at 160. No win situation. No worries if he was in his 20s, but he's not.

He's better off moving up to 168 to become Canelos mandatory, and Canelo will vacate no doubt and he will fight for a title there.

Andrades biggest critics accuse him of ducking this guy, before he even makes a decision, but when the name Charlo, GGG, Mungia, Canelo come up, flatly refusing to fight him, it's different somehow.

Well, its a fair point but if Andrade really wanted to get the other mw champions he should've done what GGG did i.e fighting all the best ranked contenders from each org and become mandatory for their main belts.

The problem with Andrade is that he's not an appealing fighter in terms of action and marketability, so there is no interest for him.

If Andrade really wants to make some noise, he should challenge Benavidez at 168. :box:

Janibek Alimkhanuly On Looming Demetrius Andrade Showdown: “This Will Be The Easiest Fight Of My Career”

Quietly but assuredly, Janibek Alimkhanuly has made his way up the middleweight ranks. The 28-year-old Kazakhstan native wrapped up a banner 2021 with a one-sided stoppage win over former middleweight champion Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam.

Though N’Jikam has been both durable and respected throughout his career, the 37-year-old was out of his league against Alimkhanuly. After hitting the deck in the third round of their contest at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Alimkhanuly spent the duration of their contest punishing his man, resulting in an eighth-round stoppage.

Shortly following the win, Alimkhanuly was elevated by the WBO as its mandatory challenger to current belt holder Demetrius Andrade. The 33-year-old slick-hitting champion first captured his world title in 2018. Since then, Andrade has run through his competition, successfully defending his crown five times, three of which came before the final bell.

Most recently, Andrade made quick work of fringe contender Jason Quigley, violently stopping him in the second at the SNHU Arena in Manchester. Despite how impressive Andrade has looked throughout his career, Alimkhanuly is confident that a showdown between them would be incredibly one-sided.

“Everyone knows that I will knock out Andrade,” said Alimkhanuly on his social media account. “This will be the easiest fight of my career.”

Although the highly ranked contender is extremely confident in his ability to strip Andrade of his WBO title, the long-time belt holder has his eyes set on showdowns against more established names. For a number of years now, Andrade has urged current WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo, and undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez, to step into the ring against him.

But, despite the persistent callouts, Andrade has yet to land the sort of career-defining fight he craves. If Andrade ditches his plans and opts to face Alimkhanuly, not only does his mandated title challenger believe he’ll win convincingly but according to Bob Arum, promoter of Alimkhanuly, the Kazakhstan star will prove that his name should be the only one mentioned when discussing the best middleweights in the sport.

“Kazakhstan-born warrior Janibek Alimkhanuly, who will fight for the WBO middleweight title early next year, will make his mark in 2022,” said Arum “He is the best 160-pounder in the world.”

Demetrius Andrade May Head To 168 For Bigger Fights, Says Hearn

The narrative around WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade remains that the career-defining fight continues to escape him.

The 33-year-old Andrade (31-0, 19 KOs) has faced the likes Jason Quigley, Liam Williams, Luke Keeler, Maciej Sulecki, and Artur Akavov ever since winning the vacant 160-pound crown in 2018 against Walter Kautondokwa.

Rival promoters, as well as fighters Canelo Alvarez, Jermall Charlo, Gennadiy Golovkin and Jaime Munguia, have seemingly stiff-armed the undefeated American, calling into question his marketability.

Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn is hinting at a plan to force the issue for the 13-year professional he promotes.

“Demetrius Andrade had a good year. Not the flagship fights that we want, but nice and active. Great win against Quigley last time,” said Hearn. “He's got the mandatory against Janibek [Alimkhanuly], but we need a bigger fight than that, in all honesty. So if we can't find it at middleweight, I think he'll move up to super middleweight and become mandatory there.”

All signs point to Andrade next fighting the 28-year-old Alimkhanuly (11-0, 7 KOs), a Los Angeles-based fighter from Kazakhstan who is Andrade's mandatory challenger. A purse bid is scheduled for Jan. 14. Alimkhanuly is promoted by Top Rank.

If Hearn and Andrade are to execute their master plan, it appears the move up in weight would have to wait till after the Alimkhanuly fight. The two-division champion Andrade has fought as a middleweight since October 2017, when he scored a unanimous decision against Alantez Fox.

Should Andrade announce his plans for 168, WBO bylaws indicate that he’d be billed as a “super champion” and become a mandatory challenger for the belt currently owned by the undisputed super middleweight champion Alvarez.

Having the WBO force the issue could perhaps prove to be the most feasible path for Andrade to land a big fight. If Alvarez values his titles and status at 168 – he wants to fight as a cruiserweight next – then he’d have to give in and face Andrade.

Most recently, undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk moved up from cruiserweight to heavyweight and landed a fight with Anthony Joshua and shocked the British boxer in a unanimous decision win because he was Joshua’s WBO mandatory.

For now, Alimkhanuly appears to be Andrade's next encounter. Alimkhanuly last fought Nov. 19 and scored an eight-round TKO against former world champion Hassan N'Dam.

On the night before, Andrade cruised to a second-round stoppage versus Jason Quigley.

Zach Parker and David Benavidez are the first two smw fighters ranked by wbo. If Andrade will fight Benavidez for the WBO 168 belt, then it'd be great. If not then it's the same old $hit!

I wholeheartedly agree, but Andrade has a proven track-record of rejecting bouts against marquee names.

If Andrade vacates, makes the jump to 168lbs and engages in another “tune-up” against a no-hoper, then he deserves to be written off and considered as a complete waste of time.

Benevidez has a belt? If Andrade moves up, he'll become mandatory for Canelo, who will vacate no doubt. He'll then fight for the vacant title. Fighting at 160 is pointless, since the other belt holders refuse to fight him. Maybe there is someone at 168 with a pair.
