Ray Austin floored undefeated prospect Sultan Ibragimov on route to a 12 round draw in an IBF title eliminator. Although the big Ibragimov floored Austin earlier, for large portions of the bout he was getting outboxed.
Outboxed by Ray Austin = not good enough (plain as).
Scatch another off the "saviour of Heavyweight boxing" list IMO.
Scratch another one of the list (Spoiler).

From Fightnews.com
In a bout where both fighters tasted the canvas, Sultan Ibragimov (19-0-1, 17 KOs) and Ray Austin (24-3-4, 16 KOs) battled to a twelve round draw Friday night at the Seminole Hard Rock LIVE Arena in Hollywood, Florida. Ibragmimov dropped Austin with a right hand in round four, while Austin returned the favor in round ten with a left hook. Ibragimov's aggressiveness was muted enough by the 6'6 Austin's work from the outside. Scores were 114-112 Austin 115-111, Ibragimov, 113-113. The bout was an IBF elimintor for the right to face world champion Wladimir Klitschko, so the the draw a rematch may be forthcoming.
Ibragimov rallied late, recovered from a KD and was competitive at least with the hulking Austin, but as you say Stu, he isnt the potential saviour of the division we might have hoped he could be.
