I've read it. Maybe doesn't want to be disowned.maverick23 wrote: ↑06 Dec 2021, 07:50 There are a few reports circulating that Tommy’s pulled out. Won’t go down well with less than 2 weeks to find a replacement.

If it's true, how many will point the finger at John? Tommy looked embarrassed during the recent press conference, like he didn't want to have any part in the nonsense.

I don’t think anything is confirmed yet, but it’s not looking good
Re: Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury | BT PPV - 18 December 2021
All part of the publicity; for the money he is earning there is no chance Tommy pulls out.
It must be very discerning for him knowing if he does lose to Jake Paul its the end of his fledgling boxing career ..

Does he now have to change his name to Tommy Fumbles by default?
Re: Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury | BT PPV - 18 December 2021
If it's Covid and they won't let him travel that is understandable but anything else is dubious after all the hype . I've now lost count of the supposed big fights that have fallen through this year in the last month or so

Tommy has a bacterial chest infection and broken rib.
Re: Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury | BT PPV - 18 December 2021 (OFF)
Sparring? Nevertheless with the money on offer he should fight anyway, esp if it doesn't get offered again.

And the Fury’s usually slate people for pulling out and say things like ‘I’d fight with two broken hands!’

100%
Did the pressure just get to him. He may be part Fury .. but he is nothing like a Fury; whilst that's a blessing in the looks dept .. he decided to go the fighting route.

He wants to get it rescheduled for new year.
I doubt Jake Paul wants to give the Fury's a penny after the embarrassing interview last week.
Very likely over the moon Tommy backed out.

Damn I was going to make a lot of money betting on Jake
Re: Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury | BT PPV - 18 December 2021 (OFF)
In reality if you can't fight with a chest infection and a bust rib when can you fight?
Even Haye fought with his bust toe
I bet you that blonde Australian bird would jump in at a moments notice, injured or not.

Re: Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury | BT PPV - 18 December 2021 (OFF)
I think Tommy Fumbles, despite what Haaaaarddddd fighting man John says, is not really a true fighter both physically and mentally. He was really feeling the pressure and didn't like it. His dad was not making it any easier with his BS. He knew that shame and trolling he would get if he got beat and kod by Paul which was very possible.
I also think Tommeh has no stamina and can't take a punch. He'd rather be a celebrity, he's not a trrrrrrrruuuueee fighting man like big John and Tyson. He can't take the heat.
