“I wish I could give you the Canelo fight for Christmas, but I CAN’T. Stop asking me. S***! The Mother f***** don’t want to fight,” said Jermall Charlo on social media.

lol

Why Charlo would not give us the Andrade/Benavidez fight in 2022? :OhYes: :box:

None of the big-name middleweights are going to fight each other.

I have believed, for quite some time now, that the middleweight division the most frustrating weight class in boxing.

Is anyone asking for that? they arnt the same weight. Charlo needs to focus on unifying his division.

Or if he wants to fight canelo should fight benevidez at 168, winner would clearly be one of the front runners when canelo returns to 168.

Timing this great opportunity for Canelo to win a title at CW is bigger than Charlo or Benavidez fights.

I think the only fight at 160 that Charlo may want it is 40y/o GGG. At 168 is first Canelo.

Anyway, it would be funny to see Charlo having the same karma as Josh Warrington or Tank, ie cherrypicking the wrong less known fighter.

Charlo didn't shine in his last fight.

Perhaps he could take a tune up with the horrible fighter Andrade before one of the good fighters.

Maybe Charlo can take the winner on from Khan vs Brook, former GGG and Canelo rivals? Would people look down on that? After all, GGG and Canelo fought them in their prime, right? :OhYes:

Only G fought an undefeated Brook. Canelo fought a washed up Khan, if you have referred at Brook and Khan primes.

Charlo is irrelevant as long as he doesn't grow a pair of balls to fight his stablemate Benavidez or Andrade.

The WBC’s world middleweight champion, Jermall Charlo, has already offered a contender without a title, David Benavidez, the opportunity to engage in a 164lbs catchweight bout, but he rejected it.

Basically, the commercial and sporting A-side, Jermall Charlo (who holds a world title), was willing to compromise to make the fight, but David Benavidez wasn’t.

A gentle reminder from July 2021:

David Benavidez has only engaged in three bouts within the last 27 months (Roamer Alexis Angulo, Ronald Ellis and Kyrone Davis), doesn’t hold a world title and doesn’t have a fight lined-up.

Canelo was ridiculed for facing a welterweight at 155lbs, but GGG escaped criticism for facing a 147lb-er at 160lbs.

The application of double-standards list is enormous.

People lament GGG’s inability to secure marquee bouts during most of his career, but his team never made offers and Golovkin flatly-refused to justify his long-term boasts about being capable of beating the best fighters from 154lbs to 175lbs.

This fact seems even made more bizarre, considering he could have faced Canelo years earlier than he actually did, at 155lbs, but he refused to even consider the notion.

Yes. Canelo publicly offered the catchweight towards the end of 2015.

He repeated the same offer throughout 2016 as well, but GGG wasn’t interested.

I truly apologise of this information upsets you, but it’s the truth, even if you prefer it not to be.

You must be new to the sport if you didn’t know this simple fact.

Anyway, I keep posting the same information about GGG and Canelo, because others keep making fictitious claims that don’t reflect reality.

This is like the BJS statement about only fighting again if his fans want it.
He doesn't have any fans.
And boxing fans don't care as much about Charlo fighting Canelo as Charlo wants the payday. They just want him to fight someone meaningful.

True. They are trying to stay relevant by yapping around.

Charlo had a tough fight vs Montiel.

eo sounds like a parrot with ocd repeating the same old biased song.

Didnt Cotton paid 800k step aside money to G ?

Didn't Canelo vacated his wbc mw belt to fight Liam Beefy Smith, just to avoid GGG ? lol

 really? so canelo indeed offered to fight golovkin at the end of 2015? and repeatedly thruout 2016?

are you sure and exactly how often did he repeat that same offer?

at 155?

why do you think golovkin (his management) didn't take that fight?

Indeed big bro-powerful Charlito could not stop a fighter that was KO'ed by Mung. I noticed that making 160 is getting harder and harder for Charlito but at 168 is the boogeyman Benavidez. Imagine Charlito's hype train getting derailed by a lesser known fighter before he'd get the chance to fight Canelo @ 168.

Charlito should be very carefully matched. Rod Salka may be a good opponent. :OhYes:

I doubt that EO is able to provide those FATCS with accuracy, posting legit offers of Canelo's team that were acknowledged by GGG's team.
