Saunders: I'm Not Really Worried If I Box Again; Maybe One More for the Fans
Re: Saunders: I'm Not Really Worried If I Box Again; Maybe One More for the Fans
Well, it's been a month and none of Saunders' fans have come forward, so I guess we can call him retired.

Re: Saunders: I'm Not Really Worried If I Box Again; Maybe One More for the Fans
Went to the tennis at Eastbourne last year, afterwards went to a boozer in the town centre to catch a Euro game. All lovely, then about 30 mins a bunch of travellers piled in. Blokes one end of the pub and women and children the other. Atmosphere immediately changed and everyone on edge. We walked out after seeing one of the mums full on slap her 2yr old girl in a pram in for crying.
Felt so guilty afterwards for not pulling her up on it (and maybe would have done so a few years ago or if I’d have been a few more pints in) but we all know how it would have escalated…

Yes if you had pulled her up pal, it would have been a bloodbath, not because half of them are actually good fighters but more because they are a pack of wolves and have no probably sticking a glass in your face and leaving you for dead.....MacTavish wrote: ↑08 Dec 2021, 19:01 Went to the tennis at Eastbourne last year, afterwards went to a boozer in the town centre to catch a Euro game. I have 2 encounters myself and one with my friend:-
1 - I was training outside gyms were shut as it was Saturday late afternoon. We were outside with my trainer who was a relatively well known boxer himself (I’m not going into names or places here as Id rather remain anon). We were in a remote area of E.London, no houses around etc doing rounds of pads etc. Next thing I see is a couple of vans pull up, they walk over and start watching and saying how great I look etc etc. One of the kids jumps out of the van and sits on my car bonnet to watch! 10mins later and loads of compliments from the gypsies trying to flatter me (kid in the background now stood by my car giving me a moony while Im working out cause I told him to get off?!), then a wad of cash comes out, “how about we give you 20mins we bring our boy down and we agree to put up £750 and you put up £500, winner takes all” …..we declined and my trainer said we had finished and we drove off to continue somewhere else.
2 – In a boxing gym, pads in the ring with my trainer. Gypsie guy comes up and asks for a spar. I’m a HW, he was probably middle weight if he slimmed down but was overweight so probably walking around as a cruiser…brave as fuk to come up and ask for a spar, I was in peak condition too……my trainer said no, look at the size difference, he got a bit choppy and kept persisting, so eventually we said ok, head guards on, respect each other etc. I smashed him from pillar to post He could fight but I could never get over how brave he was……I suspect if it wasn’t a boxing ring he would have been a dirty fighter.
3 – My good friend, who can box and certainly handle himself. Arranged a Bare knuckle prize fight with a local gypsie. It last about 20 seconds, he knocked him out. Won the money. As we are leaving, they pull out a gun and ‘tax’ him the money. Funny now, f@cking scary at the time.
Moral of my 3 stories, if you take on the gypsies then only do so if you really have nothing to lose. Other than that leave it alone.

Extremely racist thread. I can show you literally hundreds of traveller boys and men who love their amateur, non traveller, coaches like their own family.

Yeah - you’ve clearly known plenty of good gypsies which is great that you’ve had those experiences.mickey1975 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2021, 06:37 Extremely racist thread. I can show you literally hundreds of traveller boys and men who love their amateur, non traveller, coaches like their own family.
I’ve also known some travellers who are good people with strong morals. I’ve also had experiences with several travellers who’ve simply caused trouble.
I worked in a pub in a rough part of Bristol when I was at university and one of the things they said when I joined was that travellers weren’t allowed in.
The first Friday night came around, a group of young lads came in, the guy I was working with asked one of them for ID and one of the lads spat in his face and threw an empty at the top shelf. The owner of the place comes out and bollocks us for letting travellers in as they’d been banned before.
It’s difficult for there not to be some element of prejudice based on people’s own experience. Of course there are loads of good people that are travellers but there are also loads of bad. Whilst that’s the same as any other race I just think the proportion of bad eggs is probably higher based on people’s experiences.

I’m sure there is an element of racism in some of the posts on here (I haven’t gone back through to check) but the last few are just people’s experiences which the majority of which haven’t been great.
That clearly doesn’t mean that all travellers are trouble makers, as I know myself, but unfortunately there are plenty who are.

Romany Gypsies and Irish Travellers are legally recognised as ethnic groups, and protected from discrimination by the Race Relations Act (1976, amended 2000) and the Human Rights Act (1998).maverick23 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2021, 08:08Yep.mickey1975 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2021, 07:56 But if I started slating people of a different colour I'd get banned?

Billy Joe Saunders’ Instagram Story deleted after alleged chicken post
Billy Joe Saunders has claimed one of his Instagram Stories was taken down after he shared a post with what appeared to be a headless chicken.
The British professional boxer, who has won world titles at two weight classes, sparked criticism on social media following the posts – but what exactly is going on in his Story?
Billy Joe Saunders’ Instagram post deleted
Billy Joe Saunders took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday (January 19th) to claim the social media platform took down one of his posts.
His first post is a short video that shows an unknown person in a vehicle chewing something while there appears to be a headless chicken next to them.
The video was still available on Instagram as we published this article.

“Insta took down my post,” the middleweight boxer wrote in his next Story, confirming he had followed his original post with another image or video.
HITC has reached out to Billy Joe Saunders for comment and to clarify matters.
Some of Billy’s fans were disturbed by the video and asked the boxer to take down the post.
“Billy Joe Saunders having a completely normal day over on Instagram,” wrote one person on Twitter.
“Just a normal day in the life of Billy Joe Saunders on his Insta story,” said another.
Rapper Kanye West recently left fans worried after he shared a picture of what appeared to be a “skinned monkey” on Instagram. It was later revealed to be cover art for a new single.

But it I don’t think most people are prejudiced against travellers because of their skin colour.
Everyone has a story.

"Maybe One More for the Fans". Does BJS have any fans?

Mickey, you're like Doug The Head from Snatch, but instead of wanting to be a Jew (like me), you so desperately want to be a gypsy. Can you not convert to Gypsyism?mickey1975 wrote: ↑19 Jan 2022, 14:49Hasn't it been classed as a race.skanksta wrote: ↑19 Jan 2022, 14:33There is no race, there is only culture.mickey1975 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2021, 07:56 But if I started slating people of a different colour I'd get banned?

You're the one who says you're stating your opinion. Am I not allowed to state mine?

Supports BLM, yet thinks race doesn't exist. Absolute dilemma of the institutionally racist liberal. BLM doesn't exist without race. Clear that you've had very little interaction with the groups you claim to support.
Re: Saunders: I'm Not Really Worried If I Box Again; Maybe One More for the Fans
I expect you thought that sounded intelligent !
I'd love to hear what the BAU would say about you when they do the, "It's time to deliver The Profile" bit.

Your posts get even dumber with time. No irony that you immediately turned into a juvenile once exposed.
