Keith Thurman’s next fight….
So Dan Rafael’s reporting that TGB promotions (PBC) have applied for a license to promote a show at the MGM Grand on January 29th on PPV and that Keith Thurman will be headlining.
Thurman hasn’t fought in 2 1/2 years yet he’s straight in to a PPV. The greed of these guys is insane. Have there ever been so many PPVs in the states?!
Are there any opponents that Thurman could face that makes this a legit PpV main event?

Re: Keith Thurman’s next fight….
If Thurman fights Boots Ennis or Virgil Ortiz I'd buy it. Other than that, like what the WBA is doing with Ugas, it's lame, imo.

Ugas vs. Stanionis has been agred - what If they add that to this?
But then again, that should be it's own headline, or at least a co-feature to another world title bout.
I doubt it will be Spence-Thurman.

Keith Thurman vs Virgil Ortiz would be Great to watch, and for Boxing.
Thurman could actually have the style to pull off a close decision win.
But unfortunately, I think that he would duck Ortiz, unless he'd be guaranteed a Huge Paycheck.
A Retirement set for life type of Pay-Check.
He will likely go against a safe C grade opponent, to showcase his remaining Skills, abilities, and credibility.![[icon_e_geek.gif] :geek:](./images/smilies/icon_e_geek.gif)

It’s the kind of fight that if it was on regular TV and I was at home then I’d watch it.tiny_acres wrote: ↑10 Dec 2021, 11:07 Is anyone interested in this fight?

I’m not cancelling plans for it or telling my wife that I’m not wanting to go out as there’s a big fight I want to watch.
It’s certainly not a PPV level fight though.
Re: Keith Thurman’s next fight….
Thurman looked shot 2+ years ago.
He is plagued with niggling injuries, and related inactivity.
I really thought he would retire after an even older, smaller, Pacman made him look like a faded ex champ.
He has no belt, no recent achievements other than losing over two years ago.
His best win was an SD vs Danny Garcia nearly 5 (five) years ago.
And now we are expected to pay to see him fight a lighter weight guy's first fight after a loss?
Ridiculous!

No, but I'll laugh my ass off if he loses to a 140lber. At least fight a lower ranked welterweight ffs.tiny_acres wrote: ↑10 Dec 2021, 11:07 Is anyone interested in this fight?
