Hearn will then say that Benn is ready for a world title, despite not haven beaten anyone with a pulse or fought any decent domestic opposition, despite there being plenty on offer.

Throw him in with Avenesian and put an end to this shatshow
Exactly what I think. Benn will throw a flurry of shots, some of which land but Algieri will be ok and the ref stops it.

Accurate.

I so dislike fighters who avoid the British title on the way through.

Eddie has lost his way.

I hope not, but your probably right.
In my mind, Algieri takes Benn to school for 4-5 rounds, then tires and slows, Benn steps it up and stops him. And comes away a little humbled, and vows to work harder on his boxing and stop being a d*ck.

Reality sucks.

I like the idea of going the full area, English, British, euro, contender, title path.

But I think Benn has been getting the right fights. Glad it’s been guys with 7 losses that can fight feather than padded record shit.

If you look at Connor as being just above British levle he is going well. If you listen to the crap about him being ready for porter then his resume is poor, but that’s just publicity talk, they know where he is.

ive mostly liked his matchmaking, just finding these light hitting survivalists/little guys a bit too repetitive at this point, get him someone who can go at him with a bit more fire ,, doesnt mean he has to be thrown in with a spence

Yep, needs a change up, but with that dangerouse change up of a guy with good offence comes risk so you want reward.

People that want him in with Ava i think just dont like connor very much, Its not the fight right now... Ava is a world levle opperator that gets you euro levle respect and pay... See where that got josh kelly.

Brook or khan is clearly the goal for summer next year, and that is a very dangerouse fight, those guys have world class offence, they are just brittle.

i dont see him as a true contender yet so dont expect him to do true contender stuff. as long as the fights are fun and even enough on paper to be worth watching (i think this one is and 2 of his previos 3 have been).

Damn that horrible Benn fella.

I mean anyone who hasnt has 6x2s at the Elephant and Castle needs shooting.

For his next fight he should made to sleep at the York Hall for 2 weeks prior, you know just to please you 'purists' in here.

If Big Mick promoted Connor you lot would be fawning all over him.

Slick dresser

Had a zipped hoodie underneath and jeans.

He obviously felt the British cold.

Or maybe just fight a live domestic rival, even perhaps for the British title before proclaiming you’re on the cusp of being world-level.

Nothing wrong with the lad being built and gaining experience with patience being shown. But please don’t insult fans by talking about being on the verge of a world title fight.

It’s hard to bullshit genuine boxing fans.

What a load of waffle. Benn gets stick for the opponent’s he’s faced and where he feels he belongs because of it. If Big Mick promoted Benn he would of been found wanting long before now as he would of had to fight tougher opposition to get the exposure matchroom are so happy to give him

Lots do, I just as a first couple of 10 rounders they are kind of neat. skipping area is fine, but i back getting the english, but it always depends on the situation. think of current heavyweights, where the brittish title has been rapped up for years by world class tallents. in that case you might well wanna get an english (not that its been a walk in the park latly.).

Commenwealth is good and agree with picking it up, gives you an oppertunity to fight some interesting international opponents., i excluded it because i never know if its bellow or above brittish levle. It clearly should be above, but functionaly is normaly bellow.

It’s when they start going for the the WBO and WBA gold, silver, continental, European titles. After 10 fights or so, s fighting nobodies.

Then it’s annoying.

Would you McKinson favourite against Formella or Vargas? Would you be confident he beats both?

vargas , ffs, ya, a real danger man known to come in and upset the oddss

formella's a skilled boxer though, just no pop at all :bag:

i think benn is better than mick, but id still favour mick over both, and big over sammy punch bag vargas. prob be a shutout over the living heavy bag, mick isnt a puncher but sam's taken so many beatings that he's prob worn down now, might even stop him too

I grew up in the Duff days, and he loved putting his champions in non title 10 rounders with tough Americans.
