If so that's him after my man Nick touched his face.

Whopping generalisations about people who enter strip clubs and the people who work in them. It's a bit more complex than that. Yes, there is an element of strip clubs which is demeaning, but don't forget, the girls are earning a bloody fortune if they are doing it right, and if they have their heads screwed on use the money to sort themselves out. It's the men who the bloody fools, handing over 20 quid notes for the power trip of seeing some girl's poontang.livingstone cole wrote:Sure thing. You know one migrant that's scammed the system, how many British born folk scam the very same system? And they tend to be the ones that complain most about migrants.harrygreb wrote:i love your passion mr livingstone cole but the immigration situation is not as clear cut as you state. i agree with the tenet of your argument but the finer detail is not as rosy as you imply. i also hold mr benn in high regard, indeed i bumped into him at a strip joint in west london only last week. we chatted about the current state of the labour party for about 10 minutes then he pushed a fifty into the garter of a leggy russian beauty and was gone. i know more than one immigrant personally who have scammed the system in this country to very great advantage. life is a very wide experience, wider than we shall ever know....
And I liked that you mentioned experience. I work with a charity that's been set up to emotionaly support asylum seekers, both those that have had their claim accepted and those that are due to be sent back. Without sounding like a smart arse, I know a lot more than most people do on the subject and I know a hell of a lot more the ones who get all their information from sensationalist tabloid newspapers.
As for immigration, I have no problem with it at all, we need those migrants to fill skills shortages, and to do the shitty jobs the lazy bastards here won't do. but just to correct you, overall we have net immigration, not migration, to the tune of about 250,000 a year I think. 150,000 leave the UK each year, but last year I think 450,000 entered.
The home office official figures are in the public domain, I checked, look for yourself they are easy to find.
by looking at it as demeaning aren't you regrading the girls working in their choosen profession and earning good money? as has been said they are the ones taking the blokes for a ride by getting undressed and being paid a small fortune. these gilrs aren't foreign sex slaves and are doing it of their own free will, do you think the same of male strippers?
i'm sure the girls appriciate your pity

My main concern about strip clubs is that the girls who work there for a long time learn to 'work' men, and its something they carry over into their private lives in many cases, having gone out with a couple of strippers, I can attest that in their cases they were always trying to play mind games and screw with my head, but it was pretty obvious stuff.
I think frequenting strips clubs all the time is a bad thing, it changes people's perception of women, but going there once in a while for a laugh is ok. I've always when I've gone spent more time chatting to the girls than anything else, after all, you've got a room full of beautiful girls, many of whom are bored or not sure whether they really want to be there at all. Many of them are young girls trying to make money to execute a plan, many of them cannot think of a better way to make what they hope is a fast buck.

Seems to be a few experts on London nite life here so can anyone recommend some pubs & clubs for a stag weekend there. Heading over from Dublin for a mates stag soon and none of us are too familiar with London so any suggestions?
We're all booked into a hotel between Oxford St and Soho so I'm hoping that we're in a pretty good location from staggering from one place to the next.

I think you will find that the figure of 140,000 is NET migration, i.e. taking into account those who emigrate.livingstone cole wrote:About 240,000 enter the country each year. The number of Brits living abroad is near to 4.6 million.
And i don't think that girls themselves are being exploited as such, but the whole thing does very little for the perception of women.
Anyhow I was just getting on my soapbox, I'm really suprised anyone listened.
The 4.6 million living abroad is irrelevant, as those people will have left the country at varying times, the general trend is that about 150,000 people emigrate each year.
I don't have a problem with people coming to this country at all. Also, the perception that the country is awash with Asylum seekers is complete bollocks, of the pepople who apply for citizenship each year, only 30,000 are asylum seekers, the rest are 'economic migrants' and in order to qualify you have to have a trade which is deemed useful to the economy.
At the moment there are huge numbers of eastern europeans coming here, the reason being that there is a huge shortfall in the people required for the building trade.

It very much depends on what you're into, there are so many varying clubs, bars etc on offer, that there are too many to choose from. What do you like to do of an evening, swanky cocktail bar, dodgy dive, upscale RnB club, or banging house night?celticwarrior wrote:Seems to be a few experts on London nite life here so can anyone recommend some pubs & clubs for a stag weekend there. If you haven't been to London before, there's something to be said for staggering round Soho, there's lots of late night joints there, some amazingly seedy ones which have to be seen to be believed.
Tell me, are you leaving Dublin to avoid all the pissed-up English who are heading in the opposite way on their stag do's?celticwarrior wrote:Seems to be a few experts on London nite life here so can anyone recommend some pubs & clubs for a stag weekend there. Very, very embarrasing the last time I was there........
when you get on your soapbox please try to read the post accurately before replying. i said i knew MORE THAN ONE not just ONE immigrant who was scamming the system. and yes we all know of people who do that from these shores but in my opinion its better that a native of this country scams and defeats it than someone from overseas doing the same thing.
Having personally witnessed (as a barman, I might add) the behaviour of hoards of women at male-stripper nights, I regard any man who takes offence, on behalf of women, at the conduct of men at strip clubs, as a complete and utter fool.
The conduct of the women, which I've seen on a number of occasions, far outdoes the general behaviour of men at strip clubs. Put short, when it comes to innuendo, physical advances and pestering for phone numbers/after hours contact, the women are a country mile ahead of us blokes.
I've been in a stripclub where a drunken guy has overstepped the mark, and been reprimanded by fellow punters who pulled him back into line. At the female-equalivent nights, there is no such restraint. Honestly guys, it is a real eye opener.
I say, let them get on with it, and let the fellas get on with it too. I think any fella who gets on his soapbox and preaches about the wrongs of men gathering to watch a girl strip, is sad and misguided.

What a load of crap. I think the opposite gender is perfectly capable of looking after itself, in this day and age, without male apologists helping them.
Do you watch many TV adverts ? A large number manage, in ways varying from subtle to obvious, to put down men at the expense of women, "justified" by research which shows that most spending is done by women. In other words, whether its retail or supermarket shopping, women have the greater influence over what product is chosen, therefore, suck up to women in adverts, while putting men down.
Ditto for a lot of mainstream television. Female soap characters broadly fall into two categories; the strong, independent woman who doesn't suffer (male) fools, or the victim - victim of rape, domestic abuse, or whatever. Meanwhile, most male characters are wimps, idiots or criminals.
Look at the labour government - it is the most pro-woman, anti-male UK government ever. They do absolutely nothing about women who flaunt court orders allowing kids access to absent fathers, yet they're now talking about tagging men who don't keep up to date with child support.
I've seen many a male stripper get physically assaulted by members of the audience. Physical assault is physical assault, regardless of plonkers who might argue that "they don't mean it". For petes sake I've never heard such bollocks.
Men aren't perfect but I can think of nothing sadder, in this age of equality, than a feminist bloke posting crap like that on a boxing forum of all places![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Its not women that piss me off - I appreciate that they are going to stand up for themselves as much as they can, but what does piss me off is feminist blokes, taking offence on behalf of women and apologising for every last thing that men do.
A few months ago I was in the company of such a chap, in a group of about twenty people in the pub. After listening to his weasling crap for ten minutes the blokes all turned on him. He expected some back-up from the women, but they slagged him off even worse than the blokes, calling him a pathetic wimp, who's help they neither wanted or needed. I've rarely seen such a complete loss of face. He had a facial expression that resembled Audley Harrison after the Dominick Guinn result and we've not seen him since. Tosser.
