Regardless of my answer, it doesnt explain or justify why Benn is being skipped past domestic level and some good fights and being hyped so ridiculously.Wrists wrote: ↑09 Dec 2021, 20:37Would you McKinson favourite against Formella or Vargas? Would you be confident he beats both?liamlion wrote: ↑09 Dec 2021, 13:59Or maybe just fight a live domestic rival, even perhaps for the British title before proclaiming you’re on the cusp of being world-level.Wrists wrote: ↑09 Dec 2021, 09:13 Damn that horrible Benn fella.
I mean anyone who hasnt has 6x2s at the Elephant and Castle needs shooting.
For his next fight he should made to sleep at the York Hall for 2 weeks prior, you know just to please you 'purists' in here.
If Big Mick promoted Connor you lot would be fawning all over him.
Nothing wrong with the lad being built and gaining experience with patience being shown. But please don’t insult fans by talking about being on the verge of a world title fight.
It’s hard to bullshit genuine boxing fans.
Vargas? who came into the Benn fight having won only 2 of his last 6 fights - yes, Id expect McKinson to beat him. Formella? I have no idea. But id expect Josh Kelly to beat them both.
And id far prefer to see Benn fighting McKinson and Kelly than Formella or an over the hill Vargas.

That DAZN presenter does get on my wick with his hands in his pockets - he's a good presenter, but the "chilled out" hands in the pocket look just looks like he can't be arsed to be there IMO.

Hearn said Benn is at the front of the queue for the Broner fight.
Re: Conor Benn vs. Chris Algieri | DAZN - 11 December 2021
I’m still in the Benn is shite and overrated camp. In a year of upsets, I wouldn’t be surprised if Benn labours to victory and Algieri gets jobbed on the cards.

Anyone else think the Cordina fight is going to be the surprise highlight of the card?
I do think the Benn Algeri fight could be good if it goes more than a couple of rounds. I've been looking forward to it....
But Joe is going to be the guy I think.

his whole career basically been thrown on undercards where ppl hardly discuss him

Same. Was looking forward to Lundy beating Ritson. Could be a decent match up this.

I was looking forward to Ritson vs Lundy as well. Not that Hank has much left in the tank these days.
But he is fairly tough.

Algieri looks in great shape. He will give Benn problems until the classic British stoppage

More i look at this more i like it, Algeri fit, up a weight as he should be, only lost to elite, smart boxing brain, obviously will have faded a bit but can definatly out brain connor if it comes to it. Early standing stoppage would be devestating because i think connor thinking he has hurt algieri and having a swarm of bombs is algieris best chance. If connor punches himself out a bit early on then algeri will be smart enough to make the back half of the fight shit for him.

Agreed, Algieri looked in rare shape. He will be tough as he usually always is, but he doesnt really have any pop on his punches.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑10 Dec 2021, 16:09 Algieri looks in great shape. He will give Benn problems until the classic British stoppage
Lets hope there is no British stoppage and if Benn wins it, he wins it fair and square..
For the record, even if I had a 7 week old bacterial chest infection and a broken rib caused by a mystery 16 stone man hitting me bare knuckle, I would still bum Firuza Sharipova.

I haven’t seen much of her but Taylor’s looked worse and very much beatable in her last couple of fights so if the odds are decent then it may be a good bet.unknownman79 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 06:15 Anyone think Sharipova could cause an upset? might put a few quid on it think Taylor is on the slide.
I’m hoping Taylor gets through so we get the Serrano fight next year.

x2 Taylor is on the slide, but I'd be very surprised if Sharapova is the one to take her. I think 4/9 Taylor points.unknownman79 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 06:15 Anyone think Sharipova could cause an upset? might put a few quid on it think Taylor is on the slide.
