If Usyk had got to fight Wilder and not Fury then we'd be calling him another Ali .. Usyk would have won every second of every round.

Fury was fortunate in getting there first. It's insane to suggest he has a similar skill set to Usyk .. he is just very tall and very awkward. The 3rd Wilder fight was like a pub brawl .. a million miles away from the skills Usyk showed against Joshua.

Let's be honest. Fury is a freak of nature in that he is a slob that can fight, and has a great engine.
But he is a slob .. who right now believes his own hype.

I believe we have seen the best of Fury. His ego is at a place now he doesn't think he needs to train properly. Maybe Whyte will be the one in the right place at the right time.

He's a slob? You must be some man to call the heavyweight champion of the world a slob!

It looks like a description of a one, who watched only the 2nd and the 3rd Wilder fights out of all Fury bouts. Even there he didn't look like a slob.

Wilder was brave yes, but he is god damn awful a boxer. Bravery aside he was pretty awful against Fury in the trilogy fight - blowing out of his arse after 2 rounds, can't fight going backwards and had no answer for Fury's rather telegraphed attacks (at times) - just took them.

Fury CAN definitely fight better than that no doubt, but I think people forget that as poor Wilder is as a boxer and how bashed up and knackered he was - at times (very minimal I know) he was beating Fury to the punch. If he can do this, then we would be foolish to count out Usyk.

Don't write off Usyk fiddling about for a 12 round decision - in a similar way (not similar style) as to how Fury fiddled about to beat Kitschko. Usyk has this way of not seemingly doing much but taking it out of you. Really Usyk fiddled his way through vs Joshua really. We all say AJ fought a shit fight, but it is now the minority who say the Klitchscko fought a shit fight vs Fury - in both cases (although more so for Usyk vs AJ IMO) - the opponent deserves credit for making them not fight THEIR fight. Although I maintain Fury vs Klitchsko was far too tight to call it a "Fury masterclass / schooling" that time has seemed to have called it.

i went to fury v chisora 2 and chisora couldn’t
get near him and fury boxed most of that in 2nd gear and southpaw , usyk didnt have it his own way at all against chisora and don’t tell me that’s a better version of him , usyk would definitely outbox wilder now doubt but could definitely be ko by him

Usyk won't be able to overcome that size disadvantage.
That's what people were saying when he fought Joshua.

To be fair though - Fury will have a sizeable size advantage over Joshua. But Joshua would be a MUCH easier night for Fury than Usyk. Because Joshua is not used to being smaller guy and 2 stone in weight, 4 inches in height is quite significant. Usyk has been and knows how to fight as the smaller guy and one of the last two times Fury has fought someone very used to being the smaller guy, he had a struggle (Steve Cunningham).

Tyson Fury is the real deal & I agree with what his dad John said a while back "The Man hasn't Been Born To Beat His Son Yet" One just cant help liking Tyson's attitude to The Fight game I loved his Bat Man outfit. One thing for certain & that is if Tyson goes over he's going to get up & finish what he started. Tyson's gesture of giving the whole of one of his purses to The Homeless was Gr8 altho Paris might not have agreed with it. Tyson Fury is a lot better than a lot of people think, myself I think he is a deserved World No 1.

One thing is for certain, no way Usyk is partying like Andy Ruiz did, the guy looks in shape
Unlike Tyson, who can't even close that suit jacket. He tried to button it during the Bob Arum birthday celebrations as a sort of reflex and couldn't close the front button. And that's only just over a month after his Wilder fight. Imagine what he will be like by the end of January.
I have very little hope he will be in Wilder 2 shape ever again.

Yep and I wouldn't want him in Wilder 2 shape actually - I'd want him in Wilder 1 shape.

There is a video of him with his top off with Thor recently - definitely put on some timber.

:TU: as you get into your 30's, you have to maintain weight. Otherwise you spend too much energy getting back. It's a shame, he just loves to eat and drink. And in his mind, he can come back from that. But in Wilder 3 he hadn't.

AJ looks like a Greek God and can't do six rounds at pace? Tyson says he can do 30 after three weeks training.

You can tell when Fury is talking rubbish because his lips move; he is his fathers son in that respect.

I understand the hype surrounding Fury is at a pinnacle right now, and I`d be happy to be proved wrong and see him go onto fight and batter Whyte, Joshua and Usyk as effortlessly as his biggest fan bois here believe. Having a genuine dominant heavyweight would be fantastic for the sport. But the hype is based solely on having close exciting fights against another overhyped guy.

I recognise that having a body builders physique is not ideal for a boxer, but also recognise there is little point arguing with those who fail to see the physique of someone not giving 100% to the sport is just as bad.
I am sure this thread will be revisited within Furys next fight or two.

I partially agree with what you are saying. Bit I disagree with was the Wilder fighters were close. Out of the 35 rounds they fought - you would be hard pressed to give Wilder 5 of them. That's why it will never be a true classic trilogy as it wasn't competitive enough.

However, I would swap Wilder's name and add Klitchscko there. That being a "masterclass" flummoxes me and that was razor tight.

It is amazing though how things have changed - When Foreman made his comeback - he was considered ANCIENT at 38 and Fat. When you see those fights though well 1- 38 is probably considered JUST past their prime now and compare his condition with Fury and Foreman was actually in pretty decent shape.

Will Fury fight again in tip top physical shape?

Nope

Will Fury fight again?

Maybe, maybe not

No point in discussing if he beats Uysk or Joshua when it's unlikely he will fight again, and if he does, he won't be in the sort of shape that makes him unbeatable

Why are Tyson fans always called "bois"?. Are you 12? Like I say, you must be an amazing athlete to look down on him and Wilder!
Over hyped? Oh yes, he's won every belt on the road. No Charles Martin's for that lad.

Ironically a lot of people have viewed the video recently and are dismissing height differentials because people are saying Fury either must be shorter than 6 ft 9 or Usyk must be taller than 6 ft 3. But I think it's more a matter of angles.

I know its redicous - Fury looks every bit 6 foot 9 to Usyk 6 foot 3 and over 5 stone heavier. Usyk though looks SMALLER than when he beat Johsua if you ask me - perhaps its the fact he has hair now.

Looks like a regular size heavyweight vs a Middleweight.

Agreed.

What I meant by close was Fury looked close to being stopped in two of the 3 fights.
