This would be like James Scott versus Eddie Gregory(EMM)- wide loss on points suffered by Eddie.

On the fence with this one. Always thought Eddie was very underrated. (How in the world is he not in Hall Fame. But I digress) It would have been a very competitive fight, high quality fight. If there no Michael Spinks, these two Probably have met in a unification fight. Perhaps they would have even fought more than once.

Either EMM by decision or vice versa for Qawi as this light heavyweight match up would be a war.

I never realized Eddie was not in the hof. I just assumed he was. He deserves it

Eddie was a better boxer, Dwight could be a head down all out brawler type.
Light Heavyweight makes it different.
15 Rounds ... Qawi by decision maybe.

I think a lot of people just assume he is.
His last fight was in 1988.
Qawi has been in since 2004. Saad Muhammad has been in since 1998.
It's not easy finding information on the IBHOF selection process. I checked into it some a few years ago. Eddie was not even on the ballot. Seriously.

Eddie had a more polished style, but Qawi had no worse speed and reflexes, as well as a better workrate. Qawi could use his Smokin' Joe like pressure to trouble Eddie non-stop and pull out a win.

Dwight wins the first fight.
Eddie wins the second one.
And the third? I don't know.

These two were evenly matched that their boxing quality cannot be discarded. Damn, the 70s decade had some outstanding light-heavyweight boxers!

If Eddie won the 2nd, that would have been close, methodical and eventless. Dwight would stop Eddie in the rubber match.

Eddie was great to watch when motivated but his work rate was patchy, while,Qawi would have been there throwing punches all night, which is why I think he wins a UD
