DAZN’s first PPV starting at 40 quid a pop I’d say with Hearn telling us we are lucky as the Yanks pay double that.
End is nigh.
I would have said Eddie going big on a purse bid is a given. A proper HW belt is money in the bank.
But how much money does DAZN have now? And can they risk it on a slim chance of Whyte becoming a champ when he is sort of a free agent?
It's been a bad year for Matchroom. They have lost a few champions and some of the others they still have are not that much of a draw.

I’m sure he’ll bid big on it but Top Rank have deep pockets too. A combination of ESPN, BT PPV and plenty of tickets sold means they’ll have at least £15m-£20m to play with.

No point in this fight. Fury should threaten to vacate and hopefully WBC will make him champion emeritus. Fury v Usyk, Joyce and Joshua are the only fights that will give the fans value for money. Whyte is two levels below Fury.

Fury vs. Whyte Targeted For March Date in Cardiff, Says Warren

Frank W, co-promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, explains that a mandatory defense against Dillian Whyte is currently being targeted for a March date in Cardiff.

A few weeks ago, the World Boxing Council ordered their respective camps to begin negotiations for a mandatory fight.

The two sides have begun discussions - with their biggest obstacle being the monetary split between the two fighters. Fury's team strongly feels that Whyte is entitled to no more than an 80-20 split of the money.

Warren believes Cardiff's 75,000-seat stadium makes the most sense for a March date.

"You've got to be realistic and look at the time of the year. First of all, of course it's a stadium fight but to put it in any stadium that doesn't have a roof and unfortunately none of them have got roofs other than Cardiff," Warren told Talk Sport.

"That's where we are. March is, we won't exactly be out in our shorts will we? And football season is on, so that will be a problem with nearly all the grounds. So, Cardiff would look to be the favorite."

Because the contest is a mandatory fight, and Fury's team is so confident of victory, there is likely not going to be a rematch clause.

"No, we'll just get it on. I don't think we'll need a rematch," Warren said.

Fury has been out of the ring since October, when he overcame two knockdowns to secure a spectacular knockout of Deontay Wilder in the eleventh round of their trilogy fight.

Whyte has been out of the ring since March, when he avenged a knockout loss with a stoppage of Alexander Povetkin. He was scheduled to face Otto Wallin a few months ago, but withdrew from the bout with a shoulder injury.

Why was that? Did he owe them money for a fight there when he wound up one of his companies?

Fury didn't give the belt away to Wilder, why he should do it with Whyte? Back then, if not Wilder, he was to fight Joshua. But now Ruiz or Parker? Instead of Whyte for the belt? It could be possible, if he left the belt to challenge Usyk's three. Moreover, with Whyte the buildup will be better than with anybody else.

Me neither.
Not just the Andy Lee thing, but the bromance is strong with those two, it doesn't make for a good fight.

True, and Arum just wants to piss off Eddie while he has the trump card. Its the sort of thing he does. A feeble 90 year old clinging to the shreds of power.

There will never be a deal when there’s no purse split %s announced as no one properly knows their negotiating position. Whether it’s 80/20 or 55/45 or something in between could be the difference of £5m for Whyte.

Not sure why Bob’s talking about Tyson dropping the WBC. It’s not a great look for Tyson if he dumps it to avoid the fight.

Tyson doesn't need a belt. Do you really think he'll box on a Matchroom show?

Will Tyson ever make a defence? :maybe: Very poor for his legacy if he doesn’t.

Why? He's just been knocked out, I don't think he's a big name in America so how can top Rank sell the pic's?

He should box wherever he gets the most money.

Bob and Frank wouldn’t be happy with him fighting on a Matchroom show but I don’t see what Tyson’s problem would be. It’s not like they’re Triller and have a bad rep with cancellations or non-payments.

Bob’s openly said he likes the Whyte fight in the U.K. as Whyte’s a big name here and Tyson hasn’t fought over here in a few years so would be a perfect homecoming fight.

Now they’ve realised that Whyte’s not wanting small change so Bob’s talking about other things.

They’re not going to get close to a deal until the purse splits are announced and it will force their hands a little more.
