You are a very knowledgeable bloke Mickey and I have great respect for you. By the way, I used to live just off the hezzy road, before I moved up to Richmond.mickey1975 wrote: ↑23 Dec 2021, 03:44 Just a quick merry Christmas to all the lads on here. I've "known" most of you longer than I have my mrs! You've got me into trouble when she tries talking to me and I'm in a heated debate and staring at my phone!
And lads, half of my arguments are done when I'm drinking, don't take it too seriously. But I do know my sh!t.

I am 64 years old and very fit for my age. I do not need you to be telling me that I am ancient. Your throwaway comment about my age is completely out of context, unnecessary and, if you don't mind my saying so, bigoted.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑26 Dec 2021, 17:46Why?
I was telling the op about when I lived in York and how long ago that was. Your puerile comment added nothing to that. Would you have been as happy to comment on me in this way if I had said that I was Jewish, or black or gay? Telling someone that they are ancient is just as bigoted. As a supposed Christian, you should understand that.

Incidentally, since when was being c.64 considered “ancient”? That’s not even pension age these days.

You need to be careful with Christians, they give it the Good Samaritan and turn the other cheek etc but history has taught us they are ruthless b@stards

Yes because saying someone is old when they're mid sixties, when the average man llie expectancy is 78 for a male in the UK is truly one of the worst, immoral, genocidal things ever

To be fair I didn't understand the vitriole from Miles. It was a bit over the top. Looking at the Boxing News photo he looked early 50s so I was surprised he was 65. If anything it's a compliment!
