If he’s tested positive he’s guilty. There’s weird ambiguity here. Is he a drug cheat or not?
He took a ban. Liam Cameron got four years for sniff....Dillian got a couple for energy drinks.

I’d think Fury’s chin is a bit of a worry. As soon as he properly starts sliding, which with the weight gain is likely already happening, I’d imagine that recovery instinct might soon fail him. I’d be surprised if he didn’t finish his career looking awfully chinny.

To be fair I'd not expect him to be around long enough. One loss and he'll be gone for good.

It's an opinion.

Much the same as your comments here too.
Whether I'm proved right or wrong is yet to be proved.

As a world champion Fury's reign is far too sporadic to he considered highly despite the two standout wins over Vlad & Wilder.

I'd rate him higher than Bowe for sure. Holyfield...great win, then Dokes & Ferguson...deplorable.

It's all opinion but a world champion IMO must defend as often as possible and show they can deal with the pressure that being the world champion brings...Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Vladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua to a lesser extent. Fury has failed, despite remaining unbeaten.

Defending against Whyte is the first place to start in trying to achieve credibility, but he has some way to go before he could be given real kudos as a world champion.

For those who spout off that Fury's shit, best not to waste your precious time trying to persuade them otherwise, but to those who rate Fury as some kind of modern great...he really needs a string of successful defences over the likes of Whyte, Usk, Joshua and maybe a Joyce, Yoka or that new kid (Jared Anderson) on the block in the USA and another top contender to put a seal on things.

Unfortunately, Fury has long since been more enthusiastic about "telling" everyone who he will beat and verbally degrading the other contenders than do what a real world champion does and prove it.

Interesting. Personally I don't value wins over woeful Wilder and ancient chinny Klitschko enough to place Fury above Bowe, who knocked off a prime, undefeated all-time great in Holyfield.

I would heavily favour Bowe to chin Fury h2h.

The 90s was so stacked it was near impossible to reign for long. Can anyone envision Wilder racking up 10 defences of anything in the 90s? Can anyone envision Joshua becoming champ back then? Fury is king of a dung hill.

If Fury couldn’t hold a shot, Wilder would have done him. Calling him chinny is just trying to justify saying he’s not that good. He’s the top man at HW.

Having Helenius on his record is certainly not going to add much. Hopefully Whyte mans up.

I'm probably in a minority that doesn't mind Helenius as a defence (although sounds as if the WBC title won't be on the line :witzend: ).

If Whyte is going to pussy his way out of fighting Fury after all the noise he makes about being a boxing warrior, then Fury can't be held accountable.

I'd prefer Helenius to Ruiz. Helenius might be something of a one trick pony, but he's big and really does whack hard.

I can't see Ruiz getting any where near Fury's whiskers.

I think it has to be more than one person to make it a minority.
Helenius is trash. Washington knocked him out. He was gassing after 3 rounds hitting the static heavy bag they call Kownacki

that's because of fury's reaction to it, it wasnt even a clean shot

clearly fury's got some good powers of recovery though, that's what, 6 or 7 knockdowns he's taken, and each time he's back at it quickly

for me chinny is more about how easy it is to hurt a guy, the recovery is a different but related part . fury i dont think is particularly hard to hurt but he gets over it fast

Seriously? Good shot, but it was hardly Rahman/Lewis in terms of huge swing, maximum power, clean connect while opponent in worst possible position type magnificence.

First one was a good shot, I suppose some will say the second woke him upI or perhaps it was the canvas that did that!
No one can question his chin after getting up from that.

On that note, I think Holmes said he hit the canvas so hard when Shavers dropped him it woke him up! It does look that way on the tape.

Both Rahman and Wilder landed as clean as possible and with maximum power. Fury simply has a better chin and recovery than Lewis.

Fury a better chin? It's hard to imagine Lennox getting knocked over by Steve Cunningham and Pavic

It's not hard to imagine someone who does go down versus those guys, and 4, 5 times v Wilder, getting put down for the count by the punches that KOd Lewis.

So, your imagination is in trouble. Wilder is a bigger puncher than Rahman and McCall. Fury got up every time. Lewis was very wobbly after McCall and couldn't make it vs Rahman. Nothing more to imagine here.
