15 rd Lightweight
Same here unless im doing the search wrong I couldn't find this.
DLH has the height and reach and good speed.
Could he keep the pace and outbox or outfight Duran? At the higher weights,Duran gave up that same height and reach and won.
But off my head I don't think he ever did at lightweight.
But he is Duran AND I think everyone would agree he would impose his will on a game DLH for a win.

Re: Oscar De La Hoya vs Roberto Duran
Duran wins. A way better fighter by far.
Re: Oscar De La Hoya vs Roberto Duran
Think this would be close. Duran wins by a few points.
Re: Oscar De La Hoya vs Roberto Duran
At Lightweight? Why would you do that to Oscar? Make it 154 and give him a chance.

Re: Oscar De La Hoya vs Roberto Duran
Basically this. Duran would very likely catch Oscar with an unexpected crippling body Punch, ala vs Hopkins in that Mw bout.
Somewhere between rounds 8-12, I'd assume. Until then, definitely relatively competitive for certain. But yeah, Ultimately,Duran by tko in round 13, I'd say,at 135. Oscar would be able to get up a couple of times beforehand, until succumbing to Duran's Captain CaveMan body punch Barrage.
Now,at 154, this is Definitely a Fight ! For at least 10 rounds, fairly even. Duran would start Really getting to em thereaafter though. But yeah,Likely,Oscar would hang in there and battle onwards, even after taking some nasty gut blows.
Still, I'd favor Roberto, in a jr Mw bout,by a fairly decisive decision.

Right. I'd favor Duran in either case as well, but I feel it'd be a more competitive fight at 154.AngryGoon38 wrote: ↑30 Dec 2021, 20:03Basically this. Duran would very likely catch Oscar with an unexpected crippling body Punch, ala vs Hopkins in that Mw bout.
