Dosent seem like many are in good shape this card... always tricky right after chrismass.
-ortiz isnt crazy heavy, but looks pretty sloppy.
-martin good weight but looks sloppier than normal too.
-Franks shape is decent, but fornicate me that guy looks like he fought in world war 1. Might be ortizs biological dad.
-Hammer looks sloppy as usual, mabey a bit worse but to be expected coming off an injury and late call up.
-Demi looked doughy as fuk
-washington looked decent but was heavy.
-Rice and coffe didnt skip chrissy lunch, both big boys, hold the weight well but fuk if this goes rounds they will be breathing hard.
-Viktor Vykhryst and iago looked in decent shape.

Ortiz at his age is probably shot, Martin if he has anything about him should have a very good chance.
Hammer was poor against Hughie Fury and late notice here. Sanchez should stop him in first half of the fight.

Re: Luis Ortiz vs. Charles Martin | FOX PPV - January 1, 2022
Luis Ortiz is the heaviest of his career… and even though he technically isn’t much heavier than the norm, he looks really fleshy.
Is the Cuban’s new “dad bod” due to him being middle-aged or because of his inactivity?
If it’s a combination of both, then Charles Martin shouldn’t be considered such a huge underdog.
If the American can make it to the middle rounds without getting beaten up, then we could see Ortiz running out of gas and being vulnerable.

I think that aspect, and the two southpaws makes it interesting. Ortiz was gassing at about round 5 in a fight you could hardly describe as "fast paced". If Ortiz is heavier, and two years older- which makes a difference in your 40's- sure Martin may not be such an underdog in this fight. The biggest problem being that Martin isn't really that goodEnlightened-One wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 23:09 Luis Ortiz is the heaviest of his career… and even though he technically isn’t much heavier than the norm, he looks really fleshy.

I've had the teeniest little $10 flutter on him.

Ortiz' career was quite easy-going, so he can still be good enough to beat Martin. I think he will.peter barlow wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 20:16 Ortiz at his age is probably shot, Martin if he has anything about him should have a very good chance.

Well, my suspicions have been confirmed, boxing in the UK has been cancelled during the month of January.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑28 Dec 2021, 21:43 I’m incredibly embarrassed to say this, but due to the recent drought in boxing, coupled with the likelihood of many decent contests in January being postponed, I’ve suddenly become really excited about the prospect of watching the Ortiz-Martin fight!
As weird as this may sound, this fight could be bout of the month for January 2022 (not that it’ll have much competition)!
I expect other countries to follow suit.
And as bad as this may sound, the Ortiz-Martin bout could end up being the best fight of January 2022.
Re: Luis Ortiz vs. Charles Martin | FOX PPV - January 1, 2022
And its been 5 long years since he lost to Joshua, and this is where his career ended up. No title eliminators, nothing but trudging about outside the HW top ten, looking in the windows like a perv..

What the hell, there’s no gonna be much else on for a while so I’ll get this on fight TV …£11 not bad!
Could even be a tear up somewhere in there.
It’s a bit like one of those heavyweight explosion cards from a few years back.
Martin might give it a real shot & outbox old man Ortiz, and Sanchez looks a big danger for a small heavy. Knocking over the big undefeated Nigerian was mightily impressive …

Yes, I was talking about the 5 years since his loss to Joshua. And this isn't even a legit eliminator because #3 Hrgovic, #4 Parker are below Martin, and both of them would smash him. Ortiz is ranked tenth as far as I know. Typical Orgs bullsh*t.

Yeah $12.99 US and not £10.99 when I checked. I'd bought on my phone with bad eyesight in the dark.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Jan 2022, 15:00It says $12.99 on my Fite TV.
Surely that’s less than £10 isn’t it?
