I used to think this guy really had potential, and then he went up 30 lbs and became a journey man. Anyone know the story behind him? he is just a tomato can now. Not a good image for the sport

Pretty sure he was something like 26-0 with 26 Kos when he first came out here. Jeff Fenech trained him. Think he was a middle or super middle. His best days are definitely behind him. Sorry he was 17-0 with 17kos but was 25-0 25kos before he had his first loss.

In his most recent fight on 4 December 2021 against a 3 fight newcomer, Victor was decked twice in the first round and rescued after 35 seconds in the second.

On the Huni/Gallen card, Victor was battered badly, and the media report below says it all in that Victor should hang up the gloves. The fight was dreadful to watch.

Victor would still probably beat plenty if he wanted to keep fighting. Just needs to be matched better and steer him clear of the likes of Whately and other top notch fighters. No need to stop him if he wants to keep going. The match maker needs his arse kicked putting those fights on. Plenty of average pros he can fight.

if u have ever seen him fight you'd know he takes 300 head shots before landing one of his,
he has been pummelled repeatedly in most of his fights in the last 10 years or more as he uses his head for defence.
he's 45yo and i don't think he should be in the ring ever again for his own welfare.

he had a powerful punch back before but his gameplan was too simple imo.

Victor Oganov always brought great entertainment. I feel that his best victory was vs Richard Grant in 2007 on the Pavlik vs Zertuche undercard in California. After getting outboxed Oganov forged a thunderous assault at the end of the 2'nd round and scored an exciting TKO win. Oganov would lose his next fight to Fulgencio Zuniga, ending his 26 fight winning streak.
