fighters you are sick of seeing

Post by margaret thatcher »

some guys get recycled repeatedly. maybe they are dining out on performances years ago. maybe theyve never been stopped and every fight is about how durable of a loser they are etc

which fighters are you sick of seeing? for me

christian hammer: hasnt won a round vs a decent opponent in years, and his durable spoiling makes fights drag on
eric molina: flopper
sam vargas: padded record punch bag

I'm not going to name names because I don't need to.
Any fighter without the desire to do their best-win or lose- train for the rounds put in front of them, be true to their word, and act like gentleman for goodness sake..

Im sick of guys gassing halfway through.
I'm sick of guys negative behaviour in the ring, if you don't want to be there fighting, Walmart is always looking for greeters.
I'm sick of blustering call outs and social media blather, if you want to fight someone- get it signed up or shut up.
I'm sick of guys who are unsuitable as role models for young fans to grow up idolising.

Why Helenius? He has been in decent showdowns, win or lose. At least the Kownacki, Washington, Teper, Duhaupas, Chisora bouts were good.

Hammer is a proper choice. After his Pricey bout I remember Hammer having a reputation of the guy, who had been supposed to put on a show and to try. Before the Povetkin bout a lot were expecting Hammer to give a fight to Sasha, Povetkin and his team had the same opinion and after the match Sasha shared his surprise of Hammer being passive. Since then Hammer is always in sh!tfests.

Is this a list of fighters you are sick of seeing or a list of fighters you don't like? Some of those guys haven't fought for years.

Could not agree more, especielly on the guys gassing , these are well paid athletes wh are in no condition to do there job , few years ago i had a guy turn over , his first fight was a 6 three,s , peopke were saying to me thats too much thats to much do 4 two,s or 6 by 2 ,,, my answer was simple ,, he,s had over 100 ameteur fights majority at 3 by 3 fook the 2 min rnds and a couple hundred dolkars , give him 6 by 3 and a 1000 dollars ,, for fook sake he trained alongside my other pro,s who were all 10 rnd fighters and every one of them , done the same straight from ameteurs to 6 by 3 and progressed and every one of them could and did do 10 rnd wars without gassing Only difference between them was some got money and no singlet some got a trophy and wore a singlet , him from 14 to 20 , trained the excact same has the oldest pro i had who was with me from 18 to 28
Then i look at so called superstars and watch them gas after a few rnds and shake my head , fook sake i could and did 6 rnds of hard sparring when i was 60 well past the 60 now , but still can and do get in and mu k around for 3 or 4 rnds ,, , whats missing from the cornflakes of the modern day fighters especielly the heavyweights

Campbell Hatton…. Although I am going to love it. I mean love it when he gets flattened by a no hoper. I don’t mean to be cruel but come on. Who deserves a beating more?

Campbell’s a nice enough lad who, at the moment, needs to be matched carefully as he’s a novice without much ability.

It wasn’t his fault that the ref gave him a gift on the AJ show - if anyone deserves a beating after that it’s the ref.

Courtney’s up there for me as she’s got little class or talent.

Well he is young. But is very cocky and claimed he won every round against Sonni Martinez. So it's not just the ref.

Of course Courtenay is in a different league.

I don’t find him particularly cocky. He may think he’s better than he is but I haven’t seen anything worse than that.

We’re on the same page with Shanni though!

Ebanie Bridges.
Liked her when she fought Courtney. Then she got a gift in Leeds… then Shannon got a bit exposed.
She’s living off a convincing loss to a bad fighter.
Great ass… great tits…. But I’ve lost interest.
Wouldn’t mind her in with Campbell Hatton though… but 50/50s don’t get out on anymore.

Yeah - I would agree and its not Campbell just feel Ricky is (and again not his Ricky's fault directly) stifling him a little. Just the interviews with the pair of them - swearing in interviews isn't necessarily funny and the "banter" card is just cringe worthy in the interviews.

Ricky got the fans behind him because he was one of them, but he didn't start the "stand up comedy / bernard manning routine" until he actually was already a world champion. Just watch old Sky segments of Ricky talking about Tszyu vs Judah - completely different and more likeable guy than the Bernard Manning tribute act that he comes with when with his son.

Ricky needs to take a step back from the interviews with Campbell and also tell Campbell that swearing isn't necessarily clever and Bernard Manning wasn't universally loved.

Nothing about his boxing and I genuinely wish him well.
