Floyd Mayweather in new exhibition low versus ‘Dubai’s Richest Teenager’

"Floyd Mayweather in new exhibition low versus ‘Dubai’s Richest Teenager’"

Floyd Mayweather trading blows with a 19-year-old Dubai rich kid extends the polarizing exhibition circus currently haunting boxing.

‘Money Kicks’ is the latest ‘influencer’ to stand in line to face a pugilistic legend whose name transcends the squared circle.

A former five-weight world champion, Mayweather retired in 2015 when defeating Andre Berto. He has since competed in several non-events outside his career achievements.

One defeated MMA star Conor McGregor in a fight classed as his 50th professional win. Another was a first-round knockout of a kickboxer he out-weighed by over twenty pounds.

Mayweather is on the cusp of returning to the sport once again. He’s not one to get left behind when there’s cash involved.

The new scenario happened on the back of a failed event opposite a YouTuber early in 2021.

Mayweather looks likely to go down the YouTuber route again, but this time against a youth nicknamed ‘Dubai’s Richest Teenager.’

His real name being ‘Rashed Belhasa,’ the YouTuber sprung to prominence by showing off his expensive shoes. He took the moniker ‘Money Kicks’ from this obsession.

Since then, Rashed has made his living [not that he needs to due to his father being a billionaire] by showing off his supercar collection – something Floyd can relate to from his garage of toys.

It’s okay to share a passion for cars and expensive things, but for those two deciding on a fight is just another example of a money grab from the sport.

These days, it’s become commonplace for boxing to get pillaged as the easy way to make a fast buck from what is a non-event.

It’s just two people with a massive following going through a fight event build-up before the action is a letdown – as always. Sadly, this is what boxing has become to the social media generation.

Floyd Mayweather is a savvy businessman. This understanding is something you can never knock him for today. But as for extending his legacy – those kinds of events do more harm than good.

Between his involvement in NFT’s and Crypto, Mayweather has always been looking for ways to enhance his bank balance.

However, facing teenagers in what will merely be a photo opportunity in which participants ask fans to pay a fee is how boxing gets horrifically treated in the modern era.

Floyd started it all himself and fully intends to continue in 2022.

Thoughts?

Floyd Mayweather Jr’s next exhibition bout is allegedly taking place atop the famous Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.

Money May will inevitably end up getting paid several millions of dollars, whilst also being granted opportunities to establish business ties with the wealthiest billionaires of Dubai.

If we were Floyd, we’d probably be overjoyed about being given such a lucrative opportunity.

And whilst people might bitterly complain about Floyd making a completely mockery of the sport, they need to consider the fact he’ll likely receive a much bigger payday for this exhibition than the typical purses received by the vast majority of today’s world champions .

Simply put: it’s a preposterously minimal risk-disgracefully massive reward opportunity! :o

Only if you're obsessed with money to the point of mental illness.

I'm not sure it's the same in the US, but this kind of money obsession is seen as being crude as fvck in the UK.

This is like being happily married for decades then cheating with a Victoria secret model, people say it’s reprehensible but until you have actualy turned a similar opportunity down you are in no place to judge…

Disagree in the strongest possible terms. Obsession with wealth is not healthy.

Your analogy is also the wrong way round. It's like being married to a Victoria Secret model for years and cheating on her with fat, sweaty, toothless redneck woman.
Your virility would, and should, not be congratulated.

I'll pass on the nosebleed tickets if you don't mind, just a little too close to the edge for me.
Bet they don't ever have the world trampoline finals up there.

Maybe we'll get lucky and God will send a surprise storm out of the desert to sandblast them off to hell where they won't have an opportunity to spend their lucre?

maybe floyd will be blown to the edge of the rooftop, dangling precariously for his life. then a spirit will come to him, offering a hand to bring him back to safety, but only if he lives the rest of his live as a poor transient beggar preacher. what would floyd do?

Don't really understand all of this hate. If Floyd wants to have some fun then he has every right to.

Does the spirit resemble Kenny Bayliss?

Why is it a new low for him to have an exhibition? Isn’t it pretty standard for ex boxers to have exhibitions or am I missing something?

pretty sure 'new exhibition low' is suggesting its the most lowly exhibition for him yet, not that its a low simply for him to have an exhibition

It’s just an event though, can’t see who it’s against matters in the slightest.

Perhaps you think it is "just an event" but these types of "events" spur on other morally ambiguous ventures. So I ask you...what's next? Female cage fighting? Female voting rights? Teenagers fighting each other?

I don't understand how this match-up could possibly even make money. I get the concept of Mayweather being willing to fight a god awful opponent in a pointless waste of time for 8 figures. What I don't understand is why anyone, anyone at all, would pay money to see him box Money Kicks. I would understand it if the opponent was like Obama, Ronaldo, Tom Cruise, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Jeff Bezos, Roy Jones Jr, Georges St. Pierre, or 50 Cent. But how the f*ck is he gonna draw a dime fighting Money Kicks?

He'll make his money from the rich kids parents or trust fund mostly, I figure. As in, he's being paid to spar/fight this guy rather than it being a money making event solely...although it may make money.
