This is the end of Anthony Joshua. I feel Usyk could’ve stopped him in the first fight and feel sure he will in the 2nd. I sense a real embarrassing fight for him coming up and I can’t see how he can drop down levels to work his way up. Up and comers or older heavies with a bit of desire knows he’s weak around the mouth and one of them will catch him as well… that’s if he even fought on again.
This could be Anthony Joshua’s last fight.

I'll be glad when he's gone. He's putting videos out now of him skipping and shadow boxing..... He is responsible, with Hearn and some corrupt Olympic judges for an influx of complete dickheads into our sport!

Anyone know what Joshua's career earnings are? He must be one of the most overpaid fighters of all time relative to his talent.

What's his legacy if Usyk stops him (which I've voted for)? Bar the up and downer versus an ancient chinny Klitschko, there doesn't seem to be any meaningful wins.

It says a lot about an era in which fighters like Joshua and Wilder can rack up defences. They must be among the luckiest men in boxing history, perhaps sporting history.

he has the gold medal, plus he passed his gut checks with Whyte and Klitschko, which helped. Admittedly, Joshua is what I’d call a lottery winner in life, and seems to be struggling to outgrow some amateur habits as he has looked stiff, one dimensional or one paced on occasion.

But Usyk is an extraordinary fighter. If Joshua can find a way to avenge (hopefully by hitting the body for starters) then that’d be a great way to move forward & a considerable achievement.

it would be an outrage for anyone to even suggest that aj or big stiffs like wlad would beat the likes of frank bruno, yet here they are in the modern day with tons of fans and tons of money, as well as olympic golds and loads of title wins, rated in the top 1-3 for years, etc. defo got lucky to be fighting when they did and to be so overpaid and so overloved.

I didn't say it would be an outrage to pick them over Frank Bruno and haven't seen anyone else say that, so don't know what you're on about.

I’m not so certain about that, given the extent to which he has bulked up. I feel there’s a strong chance that, in “manning up” for Wilder, that Fury is stuck with this extra size. This, whether it’s suited to the opponent, or not.

I don’t think we’ll see the nimble boxing Fury anymore, but rather that heavy, slugging guy who uses his weight to wear guys out in a battle of attrition.

Possibly. But it was a highly skilled performance. Mauling and skill, similar to Andre Ward.

There was no skill in the Wilder fight. He was dropped twice and both fighters looked very sloppy.

Skillful for a man his size on his feet but his punch technique is as sloppy as hell. He hits with the forearm or inside of the glove as often as he lands clean shots. His ability to use his massive size is his greatest skill.

Usyk probably stops Aj next time ,, then Fury goes on the missing list , wanting a AJ fight while he dodges Usyk

Tough one to predict, for me.

The first one was an odd fight. No one doubted Usyk's superior skills and speed, nor AJ's superior size and power.
Either of those things can mean victory, it comes down to gameplan.

What I saw was AJ being terrified of getting Ruiz'd again, not coping with the speed of Usyk. Trying to do what he did in Ruiz 2, seemingly oblivious to the fact that Usyk is far superior boxer to both Ruiz and AJ.

AJ seemingly can't outbox Usyk, or keep him away like he did to Ruiz.
The only thing left is to ragdoll him, the question is if AJ has the bottle to do it, knowing that he'll get caught coming in, going out, and whilst throwing.
I'm not sure he has the confidence requires to believe his chin will stand up better to Usyk's than Usyk's will to his.
Though there's always the Great British stoppage.

Joshua is talking himself into getting stopped brutally imo.
All this “I was boxing to prove a point” bollocks doesn’t wash. If he tries to engage he will get hit and revert back to type.
Got a feeling we are going to get a more ruthless Usyk.
Genuinely believe Joshua might not want to fight again after this.

I think people might be quick to assume we saw Joshua fight a terrible fight and we also saw Usyk at his very best - I think Usyk might be able to adapt to even the "best" AJ. Usyk was just being Usyk and did enough to comfortably beat AJ without looking spectacular himself - but I am sure if we see a different AJ, he will also see Usyk adapt to that.

My one concern is how Usyk seems to mark up at heavyweight. That might be a telling factor if he ends up with a closed eye or something early.

He makes it sound that there he expects such a perfect camp with which he apparently has "no imput" from and he will win.

The way he talks god I want Usyk to smash him - AJ just doesn't talk like a boxer at all has absolutely no IQ - even saying everything from gameplan to "brain training" will be executed by someone else.

Definitely fair points.

Hasn't he always marked up like that? I remember his face looking a mess a few times without him taking many punches.
