It's bloody hard to get back here, you have to go into a lottery for managed quarantine no matter who you are- unless your Lorde and your due to perform at the prime ministers wedding, then you magically get a space

Sounds like whoever is in the corner, Fury will fight in March.

Fury fought after Joshua - Joshua had a rematch clause and knows his next opponent - but it looks very likely he will fight AFTER Fury.

Come on Matchroom / Joshua get the fight across the line.

It doesn’t look as though AJ’s fully decided who he’s going to train with. There won’t be an announcement until that happens.

With the heavyweights - they could make an announcement and then he could make his plans - he won't be starting camp as soon as the fight is announced. He wouldn't have a 4 month training camp.

Warren: Fury Made 20 Million in Last Fight, Whyte Made 300K and 500k in Last Two!

allegedly, the co-promoter of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, explained that mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte received his purse split percentage based on the numerical figures the boxer listed on contracts.

Last week, the World Boxing Council ordered a purse split of 80-20 in Fury's favor.

The WBC's decision was heavily influenced by the monetary amounts on the contracts both boxers had lodged with the sanctioning organization.

"I've always that said from day one," Warren said to IFL TV.

"What happens every time a boxer fights for a title, they lodge their contracts with the relevant governing body. The contracts that he's lodged for his past few fights; his last one was 300,000 and one prior to that it was approximately 500,000.

"Tyson's last fight was 20 million, so it could be nothing other than an 80-20 split, and really if you look at the money that they've earned on their last fights it shouldn't even be 80-20 - but it is what it is."

There is a purse bid scheduled for January 11, but it's not yet clear if Whyte or anyone from his team will even take part in the proceedings.

The boxer currently has an ongoing legal battle with the WBC - with an arbitration date reportedly landing on a date in March.

On the other side of the equitation, Fury is moving forward with his career while the legal drama between Whyte and the WBC plays out.

"The objective is for Tyson to be out on March 26," Warren said.

"From our perspective, he should be defending his title either against Dillian Whyte or something else if it's there. But he wants to fight at the end of March so that's where we're at."

Several potential opponents are being discussed - including former unified world champion Andy Ruiz and top contender Robert Helenius.

£500k for Povetkin one sounds wrong. The guy who told me a few million was Barry Hearns right hand man.

I am quite surprised by that also - I would have thought that since he was PPV he would have been commanding a 7 figure purse.

What if this was the amount of guaranteed base purse they reported to the BBBofC for the bout?

Then obviously he makes the millions through PPV doesn't he?

Is this a way of avoiding higher tax?

Plus he resides mostly in Portugal as well. Get's access to all his needs there I BET.

Maybe he's been telling porkies to get his % down to the WBC and its come back to haunt him.

He’ll have a guarantee (the £300k and £500k) and then a very good split on the PPV numbers.

Tyson would have been guaranteed $20m for Wilder 3 whilst his upside from PPV would have been far far lower as a %.

Yeh, it's them fights with a much higher guarantee where the events lose money because the PPV didn't sell that well.

Kinda like how Crawford was guaranteed $5m+ in his last fight, but due to PPV numbers being low, the event wasn't a success.

I think Whyte may be in trouble for telling pokies about what he earns. Very suspicious.

Lol. They've become good mates Parker and Tyson. Wonder if this caused some friction with Peter / Hughie

I remember after the Hughie/Parker fight, Tyson was furious, and still fat of course.

Then a day or two later, he was recording the Haka with Parker and his team.

That was weird, some major bromance going on there. I doubt the two will ever fight. Parker ain't rushing to be the #1 WBO contender even though he is top five. Actually he isn't rushing to fight Hrgovic either

Why would he? If he under reports to the taxman then that’s one thing - the numbers he reported to the WBC were his guarantees.

I think for Fury/Wilder 2 (it may have been 1), Tyson’s contracted purse was $5m whilst he would have received far more than that.

It was 1.. then the 2nd they both had very high guarantees.

Hearn going to another arbitration.
We need an arbitration belt.
Try getting it away from Matchroom fighters.

It dosent matter if whyte actualy made 5 bucks of 5 billion, what matters is the amount he reported to the wbc, and therefor the percentage he paid.

This situation is looking more and more like whyte has been under reporting his earnings to the wbc and wbc is taking a bit of revenge (and if that’s the case rightfully so).
