ya, a lot thought kiko won too
that was back in those times when so many people thought josh was sh!t who would get totally schooled by selby, didnt belong in the same sentence as josh kelly, etc

Ya a really close fight than could have gone either way, personally I thought Martinez knicked it.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑07 Jan 2022, 11:31 ya, a lot thought kiko won too

The perception of Warrington was very different then, and despite Kiko's recent win I'm sure Warrington will be a heavy favourite now.

Did you have it close? Close but clear?
One judge had a draw.

I suspect we’ll see a safety first UD in Warrington’s favour.

I hope he does, it might liven things up a bit. I just see this as being an uneventful 12 round win for Warrington.

Kiko is approaching the end of his career, he may just go gung-go on his next few performances.milpool wrote: ↑07 Jan 2022, 13:17I hope he does, it might liven things up a bit. I just see this as being an uneventful 12 round win for Warrington.

Oh, don't underestimate a confident Kiko. He has been staying busy too, I didn't even know he had another fight after Galahad, just a knock over, but keeping busy.milpool wrote: ↑07 Jan 2022, 13:17I hope he does, it might liven things up a bit. I hope your not right Millsie. I do wonder about Josh's confidence after being knocked out, fighting a guy who hasn't seemingly lost his power. And yes I can see what you mean, Josh playing it at a distance.

Josh beat Kiko fairly "easily" before.
That gives him a totally different 'confidence profile' to the Lara II (or III) fight.

Lara has been screwed but that was a cut that was going to take a long time to recover from… especially when he probably can’t afford surgery.
Warrington is getting a title shot, against someone he has beat, and Josh hasn’t won in his last 2 fights.
Game changed, right?
Winner gets Galahad.

Probably but when Hearn gets the cash out for Josh or Kiko II he might make one more go at the weight.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑07 Jan 2022, 16:48Galahad is moving up though.Dioufy wrote: ↑07 Jan 2022, 15:32 Lara has been screwed but that was a cut that was going to take a long time to recover from… especially when he probably can’t afford surgery.

This is a disgrace, after casually discarding the title the IBF should ban him from their rankings.
I hope Kiko wins, if Warrington is victorious he needs to do the decent thing (he won't) and give Lara a shot at the title.

Re: Kiko Martinez vs. Josh Warrington II | DAZN - 26 March 2022
what makes you think he won't? He's never struck me as someone who's shy of a challenge. he wasn't doing too bad in the rematch. I agree it should happen 100%.

What's Barry going to do?
There is no queue of belt holders queuing up to defend against him??

Some decent fights at 130 for him.
Big ones in the states though aren’t they?
Dunno if Eddie has promised him something
