I watched the Sykes vids last night, really didn’t they were too bad tbh. Gary’s evidently on a lot of well needed medication after his episodes, but I thought he was still handled very respectfully. And at the end of the day, he needs some exposure if he’s going to get any joy re his Lonsdale belt.

Porky holds no malice to Sykes. If anything he's trying to do him a favour. And he he has a great relationship with McGowan. But it's a bit like when I hit the bottle. I would gladly be interviewed by anyone but when sober think what was I doing?

Yeah. Boxing and maybe MMA. I think boxing can be worse as there's more head attacks.

That was difficult to watch, his speech and general demeanour remind me of the unfortunate Paul Ingle, although medication is a factor I think he's also suffering the effects of the hard sparring he mentions.

Although I agree 100% that he should be awarded his belt which will no doubts raise his morale for a short while, it won't resolve his long term issues and I just hope he's receiving the support he needs.

Poor guy, very sad indeed.

Don't think the actual interview was too bad ,, definetly no spite or piss take there ,, it just shown the bad side of boxing that most don't get to see , and if i'm really honest , one of the man reasons i stopped coaching lads , i just started getting scared for the lads i had known from the first day they walked in a gym has 12 - 14 year olds to pro ... It really is something that a lot don't see for themselves , The trainer seemed like a good guy Don't think you would see the likes off Coldwell and Booth still in contact ,, I don't know them so i could be wrong , but i could imagine them , staying freinds with Bellow and Haye , high profile guys ,,, anyone else its just move along ---- NEXT

Russ has been guilty of major piss taking (it's his trademark in fact) but there was no malice intended here, I think he genuinely wants to see the board do the right thing by Gary.

Julian seems an absolute gentleman, his affection and concern for Gary is obvious (he describes Gary as his 'fifth child' in an earlier interview with Russ) I'm really glad that Gary has someone like Julian looking out for him.
