I've seen on boxrec's Muhammad Ali amateur record that his loss to James Yates on Jan 26th 1957, the sidenote states that he was 19-3 going in to that bout. The record I have for him that Bob Yalen gave me, he was 14-2 going in to that bout. I just want to know who put that info there and where did they get it from? If those extra 5 wins and the 1 extra loss that are attributed to Ali on boxrec's sidenote are added on to my record then that would make him 100-9. And as I'm sure you're aware, the common given record for Ali was 100-8 so that would mean that is the most likely record rather than the other records that have been reported like 100-5, 118-5, 127-5, 161-6, 134-7, 137-7 and 99-8. Ali even gave numerous different made up records for himself like 137-3 and even 200-0, but 100-8 or 100-9 seem to be most likely. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
D Bryant

The record (19-3) was in a preview article written in The Courier-Journal (Louisville, Kentucky) on January 26, 1957. It was also stated in an article from the same paper on January 20th.
