people have far more of an obsession with Mickey's supposed fixation on travellers than he has on them himself.
"myeh myeh travellers travellers gypsy fanboy myeh myeh" it's like watching a few annoying squeaky birds parked on a branch outside your window of a morning, there's about 5 of them can't help themselves, start a thread on Fury and start taunting mick for an answer, ffs have a word with yourselves

I shouldn't rise to them, CP. I just won't apologise for knowing a few! I'm aware I bring Henry up a bit, but he was, and still is, my insight into a good few things in boxing. I don't know Fury, BjS etc. I am a Fury supporter. I do know Hopey so we've got a got a good few years of this to come!Counter-puncher wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 07:16 people have far more of an obsession with Mickey's supposed fixation on travellers than he has on them himself.

It's funny how nobody's accused me of loving gorgers when I mention Graham Fearn, probably my closest friend in boxing, Polish men when I mention Michael Fafera or black men if I mention Denzil Browne. It's the times I mention a traveller they all crack up.

I can’t see him doing 80,000 in Cardiff now against someone like Helenius. Who knows though. It’s hard to tell at the moment.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 07:05I haven't scored it round by round, my feeling on the night was John won. Watching it back, it was very close. Yes, he would sell more in Cardiff than AJ-Takam right now.595179 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 05:42You've ducked a couple of my questions and I think it's because you don't want to be seen to be posting anything negative about Luke Tyson Fury.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 03:17 Its actually you guys who are obsessed with travellers. It's weird.
How did you score Fury-McDermott 1?
Do you think Fury-Helenius would sell as many tickets in Cardiff as AJ-Takam?
I’ve got a group of mates who I’ve seen all sorts of shows with (who are more casual fans) that would probably be up for it but another group (who I’ve been to AJ fights with but are super casuals) that wouldn’t and haven’t watched any Fury fight in the last couple of years bar the 2nd Wilder fight.

Takam was far from sold out. Resellers were taking a big loss on it. Who knows how Tyson will get on, he hasn't fought here for over 3 years and his profile has gone through the roof since then.

i don't think fury v helenius sells out a stadium could probably do manchester arena or 02 i think fury v whyte maybe could do a stadium

Still did 75,000 though. Not exactly a disaster for an fairly unknown challenger and not in his home city.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 07:46 Takam was far from sold out. There aren’t many fighters ever worldwide that have sold that many. Hopefully we’ll get the chance to see whether Tyson does more than that.

Yeh the sell out crowd was recorded as 70k to 76k, but we know how Matchroom and StubHub ran back then..mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 07:46 Takam was far from sold out. In the U.K. there are probably 100,000 or so hardcore fans (maybe not even that many) and there are a good few million casuals.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 07:41TBF, most fans purchased tickets to watch Joshua vs. Pulev.. Takam came in on a weeks notice.
But Fury is popular with hardcore fans, where as Joshua with the casual fans.
most hardcore boxing fans, how do they watch fights?
It’ll be interesting to see whether Tyson can sell a stadium like some people believe. I have my reservations but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he does big numbers. Wilder/Fury 3 did a reported c.300k buys in the U.K. Its not bad for a 4am PPV but it’s nothing crazy either.

I don’t think it was ever reported as a sell out? Was still a world record for an indoor boxing attendance.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 07:57Yeh the sell out crowd was recorded as 70k to 76k, but we know how Matchroom and StubHub ran back then..mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 07:46 Takam was far from sold out. So Fury did more than Fury? What are you on?
What numbers on ppv does AJ do in America?
Who has the highest gate receipts, by far?
I'm bored of this now, lads. Every single one of my friends is a Fury fan and I could probably run a coach to a Fury fight. Hardly any travellers, either, before you start. But I don't knock around in wine bars wearing a blazer and drinking bottled lager so I'm sure there's a lot of AJ fans there. Maybe not as many as there was before he kept getting filled in. I've seen, personally, a good few people, turn on him.

Most people aren’t talking about Fury’s popularity in the US - just referencing the U.K. and what info’s available to say there are 80,000 people willing to pay at least £50 and travel to Cardiff to go and see him.mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 08:23 So Fury did more than Fury? What are you on?

The truth is none of us know but hopefully we’ll be able to find out.

I was at Joshua - Takam. It was definitely very close to capacity.

I think the cheapest tickets in Vegas were $250. And for fight 2, thousands travelled. I've always said people would have got a shock if Fury-AJ happened, the crowd would be massively pro Fury. Just like BJS when he boxed Eubank, and Billy isn't a ticket seller. They would go the extra yard to get the ticket.

but fury v chisora was main event i went to that and there was a lot of support think i was one of the only ones cheering for eubank , there was a lot of travellers there that nightmickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 08:41 I think the cheapest tickets in Vegas were $250. It was BJS-Eubank that filled it. Multiply it by 10 and you'll have the Fury-AJ crowd.dan28uk wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 08:50but fury v chisora was main event i went to that and there was a lot of support think i was one of the only ones cheering for eubank , there was a lot of travellers there that nightmickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 08:41 I think the cheapest tickets in Vegas were $250. I sound pedantic here, but.... I'm told getting away from AJ-usyk was the worst ever in british boxing.dan28uk wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 08:57Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 Jan 2022, 08:56Clever having both Saunders and Fury at the ExCel in London.
