Got to move up after this and I keep seeing him being interviewed with Crawford. Josh looks bigger to me which is a surprise.
Would love to see the Connor Benn fight in the summer… which won’t happen obviously as too much conflict politically… then fight Crawford in December 2022 in Vegas.
Vastly underrated… even on here. Think he could become Britain’s best ever fighter… he’s not even that far away now.
Shame he’s Scottish.
The lack of any natural charisma hurts his profile, too.
He hasn’t suffered due to a lack of charisma. He’s got more personality than the likes of AJ, Calzaghe etc.

He’s suffered big time from a lack of promotion over here. People think that fighting on channel 5 is enough to build a proper profile but it isn’t and since he’s been all over the place re: U.K. TV so no one has properly invested in building his profile here.

I saw the press conference to his fight with Catterall in London and then in Scotland. It was embarrassing really - just Adam Smith in the middle of them. It was the anniversary of the big Hatton/Mayweather press conference in Manchester and it just made me think how poorly Josh has been promoted albeit he’s been matched perfectly.

I think Josh would have had a much bigger profile if he’d turned over with either FW or Matchroom. However it’s unlikely he’d have been matched as tough as he was or achieved what he has.
I don’t find him charismatic at all. Joe had great looks to back up his immense ability. Joshua is an icon of the sport to some. Taylor doesn’t have a personality apart from saying the vaccine will kill you and that he’s undisputed on Twitter every 6 minutes.

I don't think anyone outside of Catteralls immediate family and friends would be picking him to win. Can we find someone on here picking him?

it wont shock me if catt lasts the distance boxing to survive - jt does his biggest damage as a counter puncher - but i dont think he'd win a round

Catterall hasn't had a worthwhile fight since Ohara Davies in 2018. It's no preparation for a fight with the Covidiot Taylor. Once he loses to Taylor, Catterall is in no man's land. Terribly managed as far as I am concerned, what a waste of talent.

Fully agree. He’ll get a payday here but will struggle after that.

It’s happened with several of Frank’s fighters in the last few years. Get into a mandatory but not actually having many/any meaningful fights. Like Yarde with Kovalev (a couple of more testing fights before Kovalev could have been enough to give him the experience to win) and we’ve got the same now with Archie Sharp.

Sold out. Fair play to Josh. Anyone going?

As an aside, Slybet offer 1.73 for a Taylor stoppage. Hopefully the others will
be in the same ballpark when they eventually price up. Fantastic value.

Frampton sees it as a live fight, and he's trained with both and has no loyalty to Sky. He reckons Jack is a lot better than he's shown.

He’s still around the Moore camp so that probably sways his thoughts.

My concern for Jack is that, bar his ranking, he’s been built extremely poorly. Come the weigh-in it will be 2 fights in almost 3 years and those were at reasonably poor level.

nah, jack's not this level. we've seen him fight plenty. he's a euro level guy who does nothing particularly well but most things decently

sure, maybe he's a gym beast though

cat was basically only a little better than ohara, framptons nuts if he thinks he's on jt's level. if cat goes into survival straight away i can see him losing every round but going the distance in a boring fight, that's about it

i think that is a little disparaging to josh , josh made ohara quit than kept on inproving , josh is one of the best boxers the british isles have produced, jack will have to box real special to win this , and i havent seen any signs to support that , see this why frampton shouldnt come out with this , as i dont mind jack as boxer and i dont want to see him beat bad . josh could win this long range , inside or stop him i cant see how jack wins this

It wasn't me who said it, lads, it was Frampton! But yes, I agree, he has more of an affiliation with the Moore camp. Then again, Josh isn't exactly starting a fan club for Mcguigan, either.
