Eddie Hearn and Fráñk Wärrêñ working together soon?
Thoughts?
He did sign an awful lot of young boxers through the pandemicKiwiRider wrote: ↑19 Sep 2021, 21:00 Fwank said recently :

8 prospect shows a year, on top of what he is already doing. Great news, except where is he getting all these prospects from if each bill is showcasing 10 fights a night?
Maybe he means the same guys out every couple of months..
Or if I slip my tin foil hat off for a second I can hear Eddeh saying:
"You do the small hall shows Fwankie, as a feeder to the big time"

Tyson Fury signed multi-fight agreements with Top Rank/ESPN and Queensberry/BT Sports.

So it should be easier to make bouts involving heavyweights from ESPN & DAZN much easier (i.e. ESPN having the rights to cover Fury's bouts in the US, with DAZN covering the rest of the globe).
Queensberry's stable of fighters, especially 175lb-ers and heavyweights, is fairly decent (i.e. Daniel Dubois, Joe Joyce, Anthony Yarde and Lyndon Arthur).
I feel that adding Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce to the mix involving Matchroom's heavyweights is an exciting prospect.
To be honest, the DAZN acquisition of BT Sports is a bigger deal for the Brits. And boxing is a very popular sport in that territory, so we might see DAZN fund better quality events to steal the lion's share of the viewing audience figures.
In order for my theory to become a reality, Queensberry and Matchroom would need to work with each other. And historically speaking, that's been rare, but working for the same network should help matters.
As well as the Boxing, BT Sport has Premiership football, Champions League that will want to tap into they have Premiership Rugby and Champions Cup Rugby which will help boost eyes in America having had the All Blacks over there and the Springboks about three or four years ago, so buying BT Sport makes a lot of sense for DAZN and BT Sport gets a drain off the balance sheet.Perseus wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 06:31Enlightened-One wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 05:10Tyson Fury signed multi-fight agreements with Top Rank/ESPN and Queensberry/BT Sports.

BT Sports has U.K. rights for those sports. Doesn’t mean they also have US rights for them.IRL25 wrote: ↑14 Jan 2022, 09:45As well as the Boxing, BT Sport has Premiership football, Champions League that will want to tap into they have Premiership Rugby and Champions Cup Rugby which will help boost eyes in America having had the All Blacks over there and the Springboks about three or four years ago, so buying BT Sport makes a lot of sense for DAZN and BT Sport gets a drain off the balance sheet.Perseus wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 06:31Enlightened-One wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 05:10

Easier said than done. If you buy a company then you inherit their contractual obligations too.
I don’t think it’ll impact the ppv fights but the monthly subs in the U.K. will have to go up. I pay £20 a month for BT Sport on my TV - it’s imagine DAZN going to a similar price.
DAZN are massively in the red already! They lost $1.4bn last year. Unlike PBC they’re far more than just a boxing business. Their model will be to buy more rights fees, increase their subs base and then list their business. As we’ve seen with loads of tech based businesses in recent years, you can be heavily in the red but still worth an absolute fortune.
