List Your Top Five Current Heavyweights With The Best Chance of Beating Luke Tyson Fury In Order.
1. Usyk. I think he beats everyone in the division.
2. Joyce. Styles make fights and work rate means Joyce will a heard night for Tyson.
3. AJ. If (and it's as big IF) he can land clean, AJ can put Fury down and soon, he will suffer a knockdown he can't get up from.
4. Hrgovic. Still unproven, but he won't be for long. Has a good all around game.
5, Jared Anderson. See 4.

Usyk and Joyce have the most of evidence behind them.
Joshua, after repeatedly showing weaknesses of being both outboxed and outfought, clearly falls out of consideration.
The likes of Yoka, Hrgovic, Anderson and other prospects can't be evaluated properly at this point.

Not sure fury is as hot as everyone says. Wilder really did more than he should have in last fight. Deteriorating perhaps

I think Sugar Hill is going to make him too attacking and he's been down an awful lot of times for a top heavyweight. Sooner or later those two things will catch up with him. That's why I still give AJ a punchers chance, yes, Fury will box his socks off, but AJ could land a a couple of monsters and that'll be that.ThereByTheGrace wrote: ↑15 Jan 2022, 18:37 Not sure fury is as hot as everyone says. I don't see any realistic candidates to defeat Fury at this point, except Usyk and Joyce. Whyte? Wallin? Parker? Hell no. Wilder still has more chances than those. And Frank Sanchez probably.595179 wrote: ↑15 Jan 2022, 18:40So you're not going to list your five?DrDuke wrote: ↑15 Jan 2022, 18:36 Usyk and Joyce have the most of evidence behind them.

Re: List Your Top Five Current Heavyweights With The Best Chance of Beating Luke Tyson Fury In Order.
1 — Joyce
Generally outpointed on the outside, but has the size, strength and engine to potentially emerge the fresher in a clinch-heavy fight later on. Fury's been able to rest in clinches against everyone but Wlad, but not against Joe. Joyce needs to get back on the bike ASAP, though.
2 — Usyk
If clinching were banned I think he'd win at least 8:4, but he might not have the legs later on to dart in and out of range as he'd need to. He needs to be the fitter by a considerable margin to win, and might just be a touch too old.
3 — Joshua
Even if AJ loses his rematch, I think Fury's a style he'd be more comfortable against. But most of all, I think there'd be genuine spite from him, because he'd hate to lose to Fury more than anyone else. Losses to Ruiz and Usyk hurt, but they were sporting in victory. Joshua knows Fury wouldn't be, and — unless his confidence were completely crushed — I think he'd really try and get to Fury.
4 — Anderson
Who I'd rate higher if he had a big punch, because without that I suspect he might be just a tiny bit small, able to make it competitive without convincing the judges enough for a win. But he's young and hungry, and I don't think he'd be intimidated. At this point of Fury's career I doubt he wants a handful of skilled energy coming at him.
5 — Makhmudov
From the Joe Joyce Waterpark of speed, but again very big, very strong, and whacks like a mother. Fury's best hope is that he's discouraged early from ranged shots, and that turns him into a trundling zombie where he can't do anything effective.

Has AJ suddenly become a puncher? Who has he knocked out with one punch?

dropped or stopped everyone he's faced bar usyk and parker
even wilder had plenty of accumulation wins and couldnt drop everyone or get the stoppage every time. aj stopped 2 of their 3 common opponents faster too.
aj's prob the #2 heavyweight puncher

I don't recall AJ one-shotting anyone, but then only Ortiz II and Breazeale for Wilder? And he never landed that straight right on Fury.
Joshua's better-equipped for infighting than Wilder, is the main difference re: Fury for me. A lot hangs on where he's at mentally if he loses to Usyk again, but provisionally I still give him a reasonable chance against Fury.

Re: List Your Top Five Current Heavyweights With The Best Chance of Beating Luke Tyson Fury In Order.
Fury is favorite vs all but, Currently i would think best chance in order.
1 Usyk- excelent boxer, enough power to keep someone honest, good stamina.
2 Joyce- Big, strong, horrible. On the one hand his slowness makes him perfect for fury and he might just get brutaly schooled, but if joyce choses just throw volume, and to rumble and wrestle and just make it unplesent then who knows what happens in the later rounds with a possibly tiring fury and big slow joe marching fowards.
3 AJ- Can box better than wilder, and can whack nearly as hard. No idea what he would look like vs someone taller than him, no idea what his stratergy would be, no idea what his weight would be, but is always a punch away.
4 Wilder- Mabey deserves to be higher on the list, that right hand gives him a chance vs anyone. on the one hand he is 0-3 for me, on the other with a different ref he wins the first in the 12th, looked trash in the second, and got a few knockdowns in the third, so you have to say he is always a chance vs fury.
5 Gassiev- Struggled to pick a 5th, Gssiev can box a bit, is tough and can whack. Picked him cause he is shorter and i dont know if fury loves that.

You don't have to knock someone out with one punch. Foreman didn't knock Frazier out with one, but that doesn't mean he couldn't punch.mickey1975 wrote: ↑15 Jan 2022, 19:31 Has AJ suddenly become a puncher? Who has he knocked out with one punch?

Whats knocking someone out with 1 punch even mean?? Is it just not in a combo? Is it taking someone from fresh to stopped? gotta put em out cold? does it have to be first shot of the fight? wilder has fought some questionable chins and doesnt exactly have a catalog of "knocking someone out with 1 punch" by most defintions.mickey1975 wrote: ↑15 Jan 2022, 19:31 Has AJ suddenly become a puncher? Was wilders KO of breazeal a 1 punch KO? because there was no punch immediately before and it was a single shot it even though breazeal hurt just 40 seconds earlier.
I guess the ortiz one was for sure... landed a big strait right and knocked ortiz down for a 10.1 count... but next time ortiz got in with anyone in the top 100 he got dropped by a jab... so who knows how much that means.
Wilder whacks no doubt. but AJ also whacks. just does go for the homerun shot as often.

The one's to beat Tyson coke 'n' kebab Fury is Jonny Fisher, Jonny Fisher's sister, Jonny Fisher's mum, and Jonny Fisher's nan.
Re: List Your Top Five Current Heavyweights With The Best Chance of Beating Luke Tyson Fury In Order.
Fury is a pretty wide favourite against anyone but...,
1 - Joyce, I just kinda fancy him to do a sort of Rogan vs Skelton ting.
2 - AJ puncher's chance
3 - Usyk - don't fancy him at all like some do. Yes he made AJ look silly, but AJ isn't a very good boxer. Fury is good enough to make the huge size diff. count.
4 - Whyte - struggling a bit to make a case, but he's competent.
5 - A prospect (DDD, Hrgo, Yoka, Big Baby) - One of the pack improves a lot and waits for Ol' Father Time to soften him up.
Will have the best chance of all, but 5th 'cos it won't be for @ least 2-3 years.

Yes! Any more for Wilder? You could argue Stiverne II never recovered from the first knockdown.
I left Dubois out purely because I think his feet are too slow. If he can fix that, I'd throw him right into the mix. Joyce gets around the same flaw with persistence over 12, whereas Dubois prefers to look for heavy counters, and Fury wouldn't stand in front of him.
Re: List Your Top Five Current Heavyweights With The Best Chance of Beating Luke Tyson Fury In Order.
It looks like everyone has the same top 4 guys:
1. Usyk - smart enough to avoid Fury's left right and grab tactics.
2. Joshua - it's not inconceivable that he outworks Fury based on both their last fights.
3. Joyce - slow-Joe could be expected to just walk and wear down the flabbier Fury over 12.
4. Whyte - he has his vulnerabilities for sure, but he can punch harder than others who have dropped Fury, and he will string them together better than one punch Wilder.
5. I'm not sold on Anderson or DDD. The others mentioned all seem to be building records but avoiding real tests so it's difficult to say how good/bad they really are.
2-3 years time he is comfortably back to his 30st self and awaiting his mobility scooter to get him about.

Father time - and the local Gregg's - have softened Fury up quite enough I think.. waits for Ol' Father Time to soften him up.

whyte was on the floor and couldn't get up from that uppercut most knockouts even from one punch ko are surely been caused by damage from accumulation of punchesmickey1975 wrote: ↑15 Jan 2022, 19:31 Has AJ suddenly become a puncher? Who has he knocked out with one punch?
