Yeah - there’s always the possibility of a random bidding crazy for it. Can’t see Boxxer doing it though given they’ve got a working relationship with Top Rank.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
Triller would try and put it in a triangle ring.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
Only in boxing would 5m for a chance to win the biggest title be classed as not enough. Who the fornicate is whyte anyway? He’s B level. He should have took that first offer. By going to bids and having an issue with the split, he’s showing his intentions.skanksta wrote: ↑17 Jan 2022, 16:13Do you know what the fight might be expected to gross ?Wee Tommy wrote: ↑17 Jan 2022, 14:46They ain’t happy with 80-20. They ain’t happy with 5mil guarantee. They don’t really want the fight that’s there to be had. Fury’s never been a huge money fight. He might be the top man but the moneys always been with AJ.maverick23 wrote: ↑17 Jan 2022, 13:30
Let it just go to purse bids and if it’s not enough for Whyte then he should be thrown out of the rankings and Tyson should move on.
Fury is the kind of guy who wants C grade fights while waiting for the big ones, he’s waiting on Usyk or AJ. That’s where the money is.
Or does anyone else ?
Surely 5m guaranteed is better for The BodySnatcher ? Even £3m is set for a comfortable life - he’s gotta sign the ting !
Why do we need to work out what a fight would gross? It’s supposed to be a sport not a rock concert. Tbh I hardly watch or pay much attention to boxing now it’s pretty much a joke these days with the politics. I used to hope for the day the likes of Arum dropped dead but Eddie is cut from the same cloth. He follows their model.

To your questions, no, but then on paper those guys don't represent the worthiest challengers.maverick23 wrote: ↑16 Jan 2022, 11:32 I’d agree with you usually but we get far too many mandatories who just don’t deserve to be there so 30% of a big pot of money is unfair. Does Jack Catterall deserve 30% against Taylor? Or the Thai fighter in the 2020? Or Yildrim against Canelo?
I get what you're saying, though, and agree that some divisions are too thin for a 70% champ's cut to not feel unfair sometimes.
How about a Creed clause, where champs are allowed to offer anyone they fancy a low percentage, on condition they defend for at least 30% every three fights? This wouldn't stop them choosing weak opponents, but they'd be shooting themselves in the feet for paying every third man over the odds.
If I were mandated to pay at least 1 in 3 of my opponents 30% min, I'd wanna maximise my 70. Puts a crowd-pleasing fight in my best interests, where I couldn't blame haggling for dismissing contenders.
I'd also hope it fostered a culture of downrating those who rejected 30+.

More delays - arggh this is freaking annoying now.
Hearn says Whyte vs Fury if next likely to be April or May - WTF - Why? Just fight for gods sake.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
This isn’t happening.
Hearn and Whyte want to fight for another version of the WBC title.
Fury is the champ, he doesn’t bend to anyone that’s his style. He’s said he wants to fight March 26th, so now Hearn has said he wants end of April-May, this shows their intentions. He’s also said that Whyte is locked in arbitration with the WBC, hardly a good sign.

Well thats why we want the fight !mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 Jan 2022, 14:05Has Whyte developed into a better puncher than Wilder?stevec@france wrote: ↑17 Jan 2022, 13:42 Ok so I am mental![]()
Whyte will hurt Fury if they meet .
He may not win the fight especillly over 12 - but Fury will get dropped just like he did V Wilder and maybe this time doesnt beat the count .
Whyte has a different type of power to wilder - he is a much bigger guy and perhaps not as quick but he will know without doubt that Fury can be hit and hurt .

Fury’s more a clubber and a slapper than a puncher. Worst technique I’ve ever seen at his level bar Calzaghe, who used to be a great puncher before his hands went.mickey1975 wrote: ↑18 Jan 2022, 09:21Can't Whyte?stevec@france wrote: ↑18 Jan 2022, 09:18Well thats why we want the fight !

Even a semi motivated Tyson will toy with him in a very similar fight to the Chisora fights. It’ll be an absolute borefest.
Tyson’s box office, Whyte is a fringe guy best known for getting blasted out by AJ. If Whyte gets 20% of say £20m he should consider himself very fortunate.

The 10th? Right hook close in? If so it was decent yes, wilder was stumbling off balance when it landed.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑18 Jan 2022, 09:51The punch he used to KD Wilder in the 9th I think it was.

It was the 11th. Which fights did Tyson lose because of his vulnerability?

What does hero Worshipping mean?
Definition of hero worship (Entry 2 of 2) 1 : veneration of a hero. 2 : foolish or excessive adulation for an individual.

I agree that he's not the most elegant to watch. He looks clumsy and off balance a lot, but none of that matters, he does the single most important thing in boxing and that is.... find a way to win.Wee Tommy wrote: ↑18 Jan 2022, 09:27Fury’s more a clubber and a slapper than a puncher. The finishing punches were rubbish. Wilder was fûcked.mickey1975 wrote: ↑18 Jan 2022, 11:00 It was the 11th. Which fights did Tyson lose because of his vulnerability?
I think he means the KD (knockdown) in the 10th. Probs the shortest punch I’ve seen fury throw.
If he wasn’t huge he’d be shite let’s be honest.

Yup agree, he’s so much bigger than most they struggle to get to him and when they do he gets those octopus arms all over them.595179 wrote: ↑18 Jan 2022, 11:18I agree that he's not the most elegant to watch. Usyk will manage to show us where he really stands.
