Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte | BT PPV - 23 April 2022
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
Fury’s a good champ & Whyte’s a good contender.
Hopefully this madness will soon end and they’ll fight each other.
Maybe, as others have said, that the delays indicate that a deal is being settled.
Whyte isn’t as “limited” as ppl like to suggest, given that he outboxed Parker and Rivas for sustained stretches, before losing focus & being badly hurt.

I heard both camps asked the WBC for an extension.
Surely a good sign?

Two very overhyped guys. I'd give it to Fury because I never rated Whyte. The division is really poor at the moment baring Usyk.

1 title defense in fury's whole career, vs a guy he'd already fought twice. he's a good fighter but doesnt fulfill the champ role very well. this is a dude who became champ in 2015, then didnt make a title defence until 2021Autobarn wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022, 11:01 Fury’s a good champ & Whyte’s a good contender.

whytes been a good contender though, constantly taking tougher fights than most do and doing far more than most guys do before getting a shot. he's even got a deeper resume than big tyson lol

shades of ali for sure
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
Fury get way more credit than he deserves. 1 defense and that against another hyped guy who hasn’t beaten anyone of note. I doubt we will see him fight Whyte, because Whyte is a live opponent and will simply beat Fury up.
Won’t happen, but on the off chance it does, I’m lumping big $$ on Whyte. He hasn’t dieted on Seder Seferi and Pianeta types.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
My feeling's that Fury wants Usyk on account of his size (with an eye on retiring if he beats him), and doesn't want Joshua, Whyte or Joyce. Usyk seems willing to fight anyone, but must have a preference for Fury because he'd be free to retire with our blessings if he won.
And I think Joshua would rather face Fury or Whyte than Usyk, so he'd jump at that £15m to let Fury go first. As well as the money, that eliminates one of the two for him. Likewise, if Whyte can snag £5m to avoid Fury, I feel he'd prefer to rematch AJ or fight Usyk.
All roads lead to Usyk-Fury and AJ-Whyte II, with Joyce fighting the first available winner. But I'm not holding my breath.

Gotta be the lamest trolling debut of the several recent years.

I wish more contenders would stalk, harras and shame the champions to face them if they dither, the way Ali did with Liston, Whyte has to stop talking and hunt Fury down, bring Baby Ting along for protection, Crawford should do same to Spence and they fannys at Lightweight as well

Dillyan Whyte basically lost against a deflated Robert Hellenius and could barely beat Chisore either time while Fury plastered him. I dont see Whyte winning just gonna eat jabs all day and even up close he is okay at best against Fury.

Whyte basically lost against Helenius?! I think you’re the only person that thinks that way.Winter king wrote: ↑23 Jan 2022, 10:46 Dillyan Whyte basically lost against a deflated Robert Hellenius and could barely beat Chisore either time while Fury plastered him. 23 pages..... man I just want to know what its signed, then the venue and date confirmed, then when they're walking in the ring....
(Actually that's not quite true when it comes to this fight as the press conferences will be awesome. All Fury press conferences are good value and Dillian ain't bad either.)

Wasn’t the first Fury-Chis fight quite competitive?Winter king wrote: ↑23 Jan 2022, 10:46 Dillyan Whyte basically lost against a deflated Robert Hellenius and could barely beat Chisore either time while Fury plastered him. Fury was a clear winner but it was competitive. Probably closer than when Whyte basically lost against Helenius!Frostieballs wrote: ↑23 Jan 2022, 15:46Wasn’t the first Fury-Chis fight quite competitive?Winter king wrote: ↑23 Jan 2022, 10:46 Dillyan Whyte basically lost against a deflated Robert Hellenius and could barely beat Chisore either time while Fury plastered him. Yep, Helenius is basically unbeaten, but for some massively biased decisions.maverick23 wrote: ↑23 Jan 2022, 15:52Fury was a clear winner but it was competitive. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
Usyk vs Fury makes perfect sense. AJ could just sign step aside with a garrentee to fight the winner ( but Id want 20+ million in escrow from fury because who knows when he will retire)...
Usyk would take it, Cut from the Loma cloth, wants all the smoke, not scared of losing. Fury has to fancy the style match up and a chance at undisputed with an AJ fight kicker basicaly would mean he is 2 fights away from being undisputed best of the Era...
All that said, i dont think Fury puts 20+ million in escrow, and i dont think AJ risks Fury beating Usyk and retiring with all the belts, so i dont think it happens.

would love it if usyk-fury happened, been way too long without an undisputed fight, f@ck these rematches until then
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
Yes - the manner of the Usyk vs Joshua fight doesn't make the rematch appeal. It wasn't a close thing or a fight he was winning till he got clocked and this is against a great professional who prefers to punch people over pizza.
