John fought brilliantly on the undercard for Canelo v Jacobs and i guess that didn't go unnoticed in setting this fight up? Good fight that i definitely would like to watch.

I fancy Ryder to maul the yank in the way he did Callum Smith and stop him working at his boxing game then take it over 12 rds .

Jacobs have a crap as usual.

Do they think they look intimidating or something?

Eddie’s saying Big Jonny Fisher’s done 1,500 already. Out of his hand.

If Johny Fisher has sold 1500 tickets geeze that puts a bit of pressure on eddie to find him the right opponent, you dont want him sparking out a random Algerian in 20 seconds.

I wonder where on the card they will put him? If a quater of the crowd buy johny fisher tickets surely they gotta bump him up but hopefully not to far up. I like that he gets fans in early, its pathetic (especialy in america) how the stands can be empty right up untill the main event almost.

It’s a bit of a double edged sword. They won’t want to take any chances with someone who might be one of their best ticket sellers at this stage but they also don’t want to take the mick with someone so poor they won’t go back to see him.

They’ll probably have him just before the main event I would have thought. Sandwiched in between the co-main (whatever that will be) and main.

Stick him on one after the main event, his supporters will already be drunk and will be more than happy with him blasting out a tomato can

Ryder appears calm & confident ahead of his fight with Jacobs next month during his interview with IFL. It's good to see :TU:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1hBYH5o0_k4

I really admire John and the way he has stuck at the game despite setbacks. He's remained active his whole career and that says a lot for his dedication to the sport and sends a strong message to other boxers who spend too much time on the sidelines.

I honestly didn't think Ryder would go much further than British level after the Nick Blackwell loss, but has shown exactly why we shouldn't write off boxer's careers so quickly.

Jacobs is world class and if Ryder can pull off an upset he should get a direct crack at a world title.

No idea what Jacobs is trying to achieve there - Ryder looks a double of Michael Bispin there, right down to the false eye too!

Has the undercard for this been announced yet? We’re 3 weeks away now and I haven’t seen much which isn’t a good sign usually.

I know we’ve got the line up for Josh Taylor but I guess that’s been crazy planned for several months now. I don’t think any of the Matchroom shows have the bulk of the undercards announced yet unless I’m missing something.

I know Fisher’s fighting but no confirmed opponent. I think Cash will be chief support and I’ve heard rumours of him fighting Magomed Madiev which isn’t a bad comeback fight for him after the year he’s had (split from wife, hospital stay with covid, family tragedy) but it’s strange they don’t push to get things confirmed. Surely it doesn’t help ticket sales to be fairly last minute.

Yeah - I heard he was on it too. Who knows though. Seems a bit strange not saving him for the Leeds show or putting him in Nottingham.

You would definitely thought he'd be on in Leeds. He needs to be more active, just hope his head is right. Maybe just an easy one in London.

Very interesting fight this, not getting overexcited as someone will probably get covid but intrigued to see how Jacobs goes at this stage of his career having had a fairly big lay-off since the stinker v Rosado, brilliant opportunity for John too against a big name in the sport. Leaning towards Jacobs on points but hope John pulls it off, would be a belter of a win.
