There are reports that this is the "final delay". Dan Rafael has also suggested that there is a lot going on in the background.

I assume everyone has seen Fury's latest rant?

When things implode for him - and they will - he is really going to be in a bad place.

I think his head is at a place where Usyk would crawl into his brain without even trying.

Governing bodies have the easiest job in the world, coining it by having their titles on the line and making rankings up however they choose, why does sh1t always take them so long?

so they delayed the bids by 2 days, with 90 mins notice? seems wildly inconvinent.... representitive from sky and matchroom have just got a sneaky mexican get away. who knows how many more times it will be delayed.

What is that 5 scheduled purse bids now? Each one delayed?
This is a joke.
If I was Whyte I would get a great attorney and bankrupt the WBC for delaying his career and causing severe financial distress
I'm not even a fan of Whyte's but he has been screwed around long enough

Is this the one where he calls them all cowards?

I seen Usyk get close to him at a fight recently and the size difference didn’t look too bad tbh. Usyk is the man imo. He’s got big bad AJ running for step aside money and Tyson shouting at cameras stressed out his box.

He’s a consummate professional. I don’t see any of the heavies around now beating him. They don’t faze him.

Agree - you got Fury making a fool of himself name calling Joshua, Whyte and Usyk cowards and pu$$ies who are too scared to fight him ... whilst everyone knows Joshua and Usyk are supposedly fighting each other .. and Fury is pricing Whyte out to avoid fighting him.

... and Usyk remains his chill self taking ice baths

He seems to be at least one of the two main causes of the fights being held up, he should have made a deal with Whyte, then fought the winner of AJ v Usyk. I don’t care about rematch deals, if they are made before a fight that’s fine just get on and have them as they are part of the sport. Fury wouldn’t be on the map without them tbh.m so don’t get eveyone complaining.

Fury has Whyte to fight, AJ has Usyk. Everybody makes lots of money and if they got on with it the four fights (winner v winner loser v loser) could be made before the year is out.

Whytes a moaning delusional cûnt imo, he’s at least as big a problem as Fury is, then AJ even being willing to take step aside is a shitehouse, Usyk would probs go in a one night tourney against the lot of them for less than AJ wants to sit on his arse.

We should start a poll - what will get sorted first - this purse bid or Sue Gray's report.

DAZN/Eddie hold all the cards. They know they’ve got AJ Usyk and the delay just makes the fight bigger. They’re favourites to win the WBC purse. Are Top Rank gonna outbid them for 2 Brits to fight in USA ?

One thing that is clear amongst all this mess is that both AJ and Whyte are considering taking step aside.

Otherwise there would be no reason for purse bid to be delayed.

So I want to hear no more about legacy from AJ and no more from Whyte about being overlooked.

Unless Whyte is waiting for an arbitration decision and a change in the purse splits

Perhaps, but I think he’s already lost that battle.

So they have 50% of Usyk, no contract with Tyson or Whyte and AJ isn't even on DAZN uk, yet they hold all the cards?

Historically what precedents are there of fighters taking megabucks to step aside ?

I’m no big fan of Whyte or Joshua but in fairness to them they’d be daft to turn down a big payday to step aside merely to protect their reputation . I mean what does Whyte care what people say about him if he’s getting millions of pounds not to fight.

I’d be interested in the details of it. If for example he’s offered £3m to step aside then is that his to keep - no camp expenses, no percentage to trainers etc etc ? Compare that to say getting a purse of£5m to fight Tyson but out of that he has to pay for a mega expensive camp, percentages to all the team etc etc.

Everyone is concerned with the AJ step aside... but what will whyte get? he can stop undisputed too, if AJ gets 15 million and a shot at the winner.... whats whyte getting offered with no shot garrentee. if whyte knows they are willing to pay 15million pounds to AJ to make the fight, im sure he wont want chump change....

I mean i guess if whyte didnt play ball they could make fury franchis and pretend its still undisputed but its a pretty big thorn in the side.

Why would they have to pay him if unification trumps mandatory?

Unification does not always trump mandatory... Perfect example, Canelo still had to fight yildrim rather than just fighting smith and billy jo.

Talksport reporting there'll be no AJ step-a-side. Back to purse bids for Fury-Whyte.
