Calvin Porter murdered?

Not 100% sure, but this might be Calvin "Pop" Porter who once fought Floyd Mayweather and was 10-2 as a pro. Here is the newspaper article:

Yes, he was. Three additional fights that were attributed to the wrong boxer have been added, making his final record 12-3.
