Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
Tyson says something different every day. "Writing" a new article about every video he makes them look silly in the long run. I was hoping there was firmer confirmation that a deal had been made or something along those lines.

If he’d signed to fight Whyte then they probably would have announced something. This will be rumbling on for another 24 hours before the supposed final purse bid.

They should have just postponed the original purse bids by a month, instead of keep postponing every 5 days.

It is quite annoying. This is dragging on for no real reason.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑27 Jan 2022, 08:27 They should have just postponed the original purse bids by a month, instead of keep postponing every 5 days.
Whyte is the mandatory. Joshua and Usyk are contractually obliged.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
Eddie’s come out and said Fury didn’t want to fight Usyk next. He wanted a soft one in March (not Whyte) and then Usyk after that. That’s been turned down so looks purse bids will happen.
Who knows what the truth is but hopefully it’s sorted by close of play tomorrow.

Whilst there are there are enough of the `Mickeys' out there who ignore the facts and swallow all of Furys nonsense then Fury will keep repeating his delusions.tiny_acres wrote: ↑27 Jan 2022, 09:14It is quite annoying. From what Eddie has said and hasn't said, it would seem fairly clear that neither Fury nor Joshua want to fight Usyk next. That tells its own tale.
Usyk is numero uno for me at the moment. Brits have always been better talkers than fighters.

I don't know what to think, mate. I genuinely thought I'd thrown my cards in and given up on the job but I can't fully walk away from the heavyweights and will probably always come back. I know this is a form of social media but I think it is big social media that does my nut in more than anything. At least we aren't getting paid for talking rubbish. These big names earn big from their spoutings, they don't need to fight much once they've gained a bit of traction. It's ridiculous. Ideally people wouldn't click on their videos and posts, it'd force them to work for pay, but social media crackheads can't stay away. Just like I can't completely stay away from here.

Boxing and the interest of - I think that has died a death for me. I am sure I will tune in for Canelo and the big heavyweight fights though.

meanwhile from 105-115 Roman Gonzalez has fought virtually everyone, some of them twice, smashed most of them to bits and is still taking challenges at the grand old age of 455*

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte confirmed with likely venue named for blockbuster fight
Why does papers like Daily Star, Mirror, MEN, always assume and post that fights are confirmed, but because Fury posted what he did.

It’s good it’s probably happening. I’d expect this to be a turning point for the overly optimistic assessment of The Gypsy Kings abilities. I suspect it will turn out to be an unedifying maul with a wildly overweight Fury taking a close decision, probably getting off the floor again. I think Lewis would have done Whyte in about 2 rounds.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte - Purse Bid
This is not far off what I think. I don't think Fury will be as mentally focused as he was for the third Wilder fight and nowhere near the same level as he was for their second engagement. If Whyte walks down to the ring prepared and focused, it could be an interesting night.polecateddy wrote: ↑27 Jan 2022, 13:59 It’s good it’s probably happening. eddie said the other day he jumped ship to join a project he believed in, is it really going to be anywhere other than dazn ?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑27 Jan 2022, 04:39Yeh, No guarantee the Usyk-AJ rematch will be on DAZN.mickey1975 wrote: ↑26 Jan 2022, 21:39So they have 50% of Usyk, no contract with Tyson or Whyte and AJ isn't even on DAZN uk, yet they hold all the cards?

It’s not Eddie’s choice. Joshua will go where the most money and if it’s close then he’ll stay with Sky with Eddie promoting as he seems to be a fairly loyal bloke.daz74 wrote: ↑27 Jan 2022, 15:45eddie said the other day he jumped ship to join a project he believed in, is it really going to be anywhere other than dazn ?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑27 Jan 2022, 04:39Yeh, No guarantee the Usyk-AJ rematch will be on DAZN.mickey1975 wrote: ↑26 Jan 2022, 21:39

Hope we get some good fights out of all this boxing politics
Hopefully AJ will come in heavier looking for an early KO and hopefully Fury/Whyte is more Wilder trilogy than Klitschko style.
